Seth Green vs. Warren the Ape with Lightsabers! Team | July 7, 2010

There are good puppets, and there are troubled puppets. Warren the Ape is clearly not a Jedi Master, but he might be too adsorbed in self-help therapy to be a successful Sith Lord.

In his new MTV show Warren the Ape, Warren gives fans a look at his life after his success in the show Greg the Bunny.

Having had a brief taste of success on the former sitcom Greg the Bunny, Warren’s life has been in a downward spiral ever since the show got canceled. Over the past few years, Warren has paid more attention to drugs, booze and women than his career, which as of late has mostly consisted of a series of seedy exploitation films and low-rent theater productions.

Seth Green Makes Star Wars Pancakes Team | June 17, 2010

Looks like fans everywhere including our favorite geektastic newlyweds — actors Seth Green and Clare Grant — are adding a bit of the Empire to their breakfasts with the new Star Wars pancake molds from Williams-Sonoma.

After tying the knot a little more than a month ago, Seth Green and Clare Grant aren’t working on perfecting their marriage. They have bigger, tastier things to worry about – like making perfect pancakes.

“What we’ve been doing a lot of is trying to perfect – we got all of those Star Wars pancake molds from Williams-Sonoma for our wedding – so we’ve been perfecting the art of pancakes,” Grant told People at a benefit for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation on Sunday. “It’s not as easy as it sounds.”

Happy Wookiee Life Day! Team | November 17, 2009

November 17 marks the anniversary of the Star Wars Holiday Special, which some fans like to celebrate as Wookiee Life Day!

More info from

Note that Life Day most likely was originally intended as a stand-in for the American holiday of Thanksgiving, as the Holiday Special was originally aired on November 17, the day after Thanksgiving that year.

However, over time the term “holiday special” has caused most fans to misinterpret Life Day as a stand-in for Christmas instead, leading to games like Star Wars Galaxies and Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron to place Life Day on December 25. This is partly because after the initial US airing in November, the Holiday Special aired in December in other countries, where Thanksgiving is not observed and Christmas is the closest equivalent.

The canonical date for the observance of Life Day has, nevertheless, been established in what sources there are as December 25, or the equivalent thereof in the Wookiee calendar. Whether this means that Life Day actually is intended to be understood as a solstice festival akin to Christmas as opposed to a harvest festival akin to Thanksgiving is unknown.

Neither concept seems to hold much relevance on Kashyyyk, which appears to have temperate weather throughout the year (including on the Life Day we see in the Holiday Special) and where agriculture seems to be little practiced.

In honor of Life Day, here’s some of our favorite photos of celeb fans hanging out with Chewie.

Seth Green Talks Robot Chicken DVD Team | August 20, 2007

Actor and Robot Chicken co-creator Seth Green sat down with to chat about the upcoming Robot Chicken: Season 2 DVD, the Robot Chicken: Star Wars special and the upcoming seasons of Robot Chicken and “Family Guy.”
Here’s a snippet:

IGN TV: What are your plans as far as a DVD release of Robot Chicken: Star Wars? Will it be included with Season 3 or will it have an independent release?
You know, we’re actually talking about that right now. There’s a lot of different conversations being had, so I’m not entirely sure how it’s gonna pan out. My expectation is that it will be its own DVD. We’re just trying to figure out what content will be on it, in addition to the special.

IGN TV: “Family Guy” has their own Star Wars special coming. Did you get to boast to Seth [MacFarlane] that you beat him to it?
No. He and I don’t have that kind of competitive relationship. We were both just so giddy about the fact that we get to make Star Wars. Although we called each other during the production, because we were writing them around the same time, just kind of conferring and making sure we weren’t stepping on each other’s joke toes.
