Darth Vader Conducts Christmas Choir Flash Mob

StarWars.com Team | December 16, 2011

College students can feel extra stressful during final exams week, and sometimes it takes a Sith Lord to put it all in perspective. This week at Algonquin College in Ontario, the Ottawa Regional Youth Choir performed a “Carol of the Bells” flash mob conducted none other than by Darth Vader himself to put students in the festive spirit.

Inspired by the Christmas Food Court Flash Mob Hallelujah Chorus, the Television Broadcasting students at Algonquin College wanted to showcase the new Algonquin Centre for Construction Excellence by lightening the mood with the help of the Ottawa Regional Youth Choir and Darth Vader. Please note: Lord Vader is not enrolled or on faculty at Algonquin.

New Star Wars Snowflakes Craft!

Bonnie Burton | December 11, 2011

Remember that awesome dad who Photoshopped Ewoks into his family vacation photos so his kids could believe Ewoks were real? And then gave his daughter an adorkable Star Wars Disney Princesses birthday cake?

Well, now awesome dad, Anthony Herrera is back and he’s crafted some rather cool Star Wars Paper Snowflakes of Admiral Ackbar, Yoda, Ahsoka Tano and more!

Anthony writes:

When someone shared with me the Stars Wars snowflakes featured on Matters of Grey we were excited to make them. They turned out great, but we wanted to create more. The design seemed easy enough, so I got to work. There are so many rich characters in the Star Wars universe, the possibilities seem endless. I created a few designs based off of characters that I liked or thought would have a cool look as a snowflake. I recommend getting a very sharp X-acto knife for the inner details.
