Milo Ventimiglia Talks Star Wars in IMDB Fave Film List

To celebrate their 20th anniversary, IMDB.com is interviewing actors and directors about their favorite movies. This week, IMDB chats with one of our favorite celebrity Star Wars fans — Milo Ventimiglia.

In this video, Milo mentions the entire Star Wars saga as part of his long list of favorite movies, as well as Darth Vader’s reveal to Luke that he is his father being one of his favorite movie dialog moments. Thanks Milo!

Peter Frampton’s Favorite R2-D2 Memory

Rock legend Peter Frampton recalls in the recent issue of Uncut music magazine a moment when R2-D2 became his guitar tech.

Latest issue of UNCUT:

Madison Square Garden – New York – 1977. R2-D2 bringing me my guitar for the encore. It was not sanctioned by Mr. Lucas… we got into trouble for that! But this guy who built it brought it to the show, and the crew had this great idea of sending it out with my guitar.

I didn’t know it was coming, as you can see by my bemused expression. They’d got all the R2-D2 noises working. But we got a call from the Lucas organization telling us to cease and desist.

DROID R2-D2: Hunt for the Lost Plans

The Rebel Alliance needs your help in the search for the missing plans to the new Droid R2-D2 device. No doubt by now you have heard of the Internet-wide hunt to track down the lost schematics.

Various pieces of the lost plans have been scattered across the internet, like in this Industrial Automaton memo on Motorola.com which revealed a hidden code once deciphered. More info can be obtained here.

Your task is to follow the clues provided by Artoo in audio transmissions that can be monitored exclusively by following @DroidLanding on Twitter.

C-3PO can help you interpret the message here.

Assemble the four code sequences that correspond to each fragment of the lost Droid R2-D2 schematics. Be the first to solve the puzzle and you will be rewarded handsomely –- with a trusty Droid R2-D2 of your very own!

Star Wars Shout-out on Burn Notice

Spotting Star Wars references in hit shows TV shows is always a nice surprise, but when pop culture icon & legendary actor Bruce Campbell makes a Star Wars reference, it’s icing on the Death Star cake!

Campbell, who plays the ex-Navy Seal and mercenary-for-hire Sam Axe on the USA Network show Burn Notice, dropped a Force-related comment in a recent episode in regards to a crazy plan regarding chatting with an ex-spy who’s best left in the loony bin.

Nathan Fillion Tweets His New AT-AT

As a special thanks to actor Nathan Fillion for being so vocal about his awesome lightsaber duel with his neighbor and his Jedi mind trick skills on his hit show Castle, not to mention his Force-tastic Christmas tree, we asked Hasbro to send him a new addition to his home — the new, gigantic AT-AT.

According to his tweets, it looks like he got it!

Swing Jedi Master! Swing!

Yoda’s wisdom isn’t just for Jedi. The San Diego Padres seem to have adopted a new green mascot, which can’t hurt gaming odds.

Recently, Yoda was spotted with the Padres as they played against the Florida Marlins. Of course, Yoda does have another connection to the Padres. Actress Ashley Eckstein, who voices Jedi Ahsoka Tano in The Clone Wars animated series and created a new fashion line for female Star Wars fans called Her Universe, is married to Padres’ infielder David Eckstein.

There are good puppets, and there are troubled puppets. Warren the Ape is clearly not a Jedi Master, but he might be too adsorbed in self-help therapy to be a successful Sith Lord.

In his new MTV show Warren the Ape, Warren gives fans a look at his life after his success in the show Greg the Bunny.

Having had a brief taste of success on the former sitcom Greg the Bunny, Warren’s life has been in a downward spiral ever since the show got canceled. Over the past few years, Warren has paid more attention to drugs, booze and women than his career, which as of late has mostly consisted of a series of seedy exploitation films and low-rent theater productions.
