The unusual-looking animal was spotted clinging to a tree by photographer Erik Mikhailov while he was on a tour of the rain forest in the Philippines.

If you were hanging out on Twitter for the last few days you might have noticed a merging of Austin’s most popular digital, film and music fest South By Southwest (SXSW) mixed with your favorite Star Wars characters thanks to the #SXStarwars hashtag meme.
Interactive storytelling consultant Jay Bushman has brought back the #SXStarwars social experiment, as he does every year during SXSW since his first attempt of the Twitter Trench Run was such a geektastic success!
This time fans tweeted about attending #SXStarwars as panelists, party-goers and more.
Below are some of our favorite tweets!

Why watch Star Wars on your TV in a boring living room when you can pretend you’re hanging with R2-D2 and C-3PO in the cockpit of a Corellian Cruiser?
Gizmodo.com writes:
The house has 6 flat panel HDTVs each with their own futuristic touchscreen remote from Creston (each with one button – “WATCH DVD” – that sets all the correct inputs and eliminates headaches). But I’m pretty sure I’d be spending all my time in the theater.
It has life-size R2-D2 and C-3PO replicas that talk to the audience (I assume 3PO stays quiet during the actual screenings), a ceiling featuring a three-dimensional fiber optic scarscape, and a motorized pocket door that serves as the entrance, just like you’d find on a Corellian Cruiser.

Love Star Wars? Love cats? You’re in luck. Buzzfeed recently blogged their favorite selection of cats sneaking into Star Wars scenes, doing their best Jabba the Hutt impressions and playing…er chewing on action figures.
Thanks to researchers at Tokyo University, it appears that touchable holograms are now a reality.
Researchers used two Wiimotes from Nintendo’s Wii gaming system to track a user’s hand as well as software that uses ultrasonic waves to create pressure on the user’s hand touching the projected hologram.
Professor Hiroyuki Shinoda from Tokyo University says:
“Up until now, holography has been for the eyes only, and if you’d try to touch it, your hand would go right through. But now we have a technology that also adds the sensation of touch to holograms.”
