Daniel Logan, known to countless Star Wars fans as Boba Fett, is in Germany right now for Jedi-Con, an official Star Wars Fan Club event. He’s graciously agreed to be our eyes and ears on the convention floor and chimes in with this report:

Here is my report from Jedi-Con on Saturday. First I would like to say Happy Easter. And from the 1st picture you can see, other fans are preparing for Easter as well.

Report from Wonder-Con: Lucasfilm Presentation (Part 3)

Pablo Hidalgo | February 23, 2008

Steve Sansweet: On August 15th, Star Wars returns to the theaters in all new animated feature film, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, to be followed this fall by a new weekly series of the same name airing on Cartoon Network and TNT. We’ll be announcing international dates for the movie and international partners for the series over the next couple of months. Star Wars: The Clone Wars has an entirely new look and feel and combines the broad scope of Star Wars and the saga with state-of-the-art computer-generated animation. Each week, viewers are going to see really a very exciting half-hour “mini-movie” created by the talented artists at Lucasfilm Animation. From what I’ve already seen, we are in for one heck of an exciting ride. But don’t take my word for it. Take the word of Dave Filoni, Supervising Director for the Clone Wars project.

Pablo Hidalgo | February 23, 2008

After Brett Rector left the stage. Steve Sansweet turned to the subject of The Man with the Hat– Indiana Jones and his return to adventure this year. First, Sansweet reminded audiences about the final installment of The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones coming to DVD on April 29th. He then screened the trailer for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (in theaters May 22) as well as the trailer for the LEGO Indiana Jones video game before turning the subject back to Star Wars… From a certain point of view.

Pablo Hidalgo | February 1, 2008

The UK fan site Jedi News is the first out the gate with some tantalizing high resolution images from the UK Toy Fair that is happening right now. The LEGO display is filled with preview items from this year’s TV series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, including some familiar Star Wars vehicles — the AT-TE, the V-19 Torrent, and the P-38 fighter — as well as some brand new faces.

Vader Wants Your Brains: Star Wars Zombies

Pablo Hidalgo | October 13, 2007

Despite their cadaverous pallor, zombies are hotter then ever. Marvel zombified their heroes and villains with the smash hit Marvel Zombies series, and now Star Wars gets the undead treatment thanks to sculptor Michael Barrera’s awesome work that can be seen at his website, aipresents.com.

The latest issue of Toyfare (Dec 2007, #124) — now on newsstands — has Barrera’s step-by-step instructions on how to turn a slave Leia into a zombie as part of their Customizing 101 column.

Also in this issue for Star Wars fans: an interview with Ralph McQuarrie about the concept artist action figure currently available from Hasbro, a spotlight on the Kotobukiya ArtFX statues, and the Hasbro / Dark Horse Star Wars Comic 2-Packs.
