hi,
when can i come to the la convention center and buy badges for me and my family? we want badges for either saturday or sunday? is it possible to come to the convention center and buy them in advance of saturday or sunday?
if not, will there be a problem getting badges? we are 100 miles north of la, so i hate to drive down and find out we cannot get in.
thanks,
glen

Okay, I am having a little trouble navigating here - can someone help me? I live in LA and I didn’t buy badges. Where is the six-movie marathon playing - just in the convention center? I have a son who lives and breathes star wars. I guess we should just buy passes but I thought he would be so overwhelmed he might explode. Any guidance would be so appreciated!! Please feel free to email me directly as i may never find my way back here - kristenmoyer@hotmail.com.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Boy, I wish we were going! We live in Visalia Ca and it’s a bit far…
but we did go to the California Science Center to see the star wars exhibit there. It was so wonderful to see the look on my son’s face when he saw Darth Vader’s costume. There was a lot to take in at that event I’m not sure how he would handle the C IV ..might just faint!!
What’s amazing to me is that Star Wars has something for everyone. I’m a weaver/textile enthusiast and I think the costumes are beyond fantastic just amazing.
I’ll be checking this page daily to see all that’s going on…have a wonderful event.

It is Tuesday May 29th, & I’m looking for a final update on the weekend.
I am Wondering what the “huge” Announcemet was?
Was it the trailer for Clone Wars? The video game release?
Wish I could have been there.

It was really sad when on monday evertone had to say bye
May 30, 2007 at 7:28 pm
c4 was great. It was cool to see so many in costumes. I even saw a abay wookie!
May 30, 2007 at 8:36 pm
I went to the convention and had an awesome time! I do have one complaint though. On Monday the last day we were told that the people that had Monday only badges were getting the C3PO, R2D2 figrues for free. How fair was that. I bought a 4 day badge, spent a lot of money at the convention but didn’t get anything free, especially a one of a kind figrue. Why was people that spent a fraction of the money that us 4 day badge people spent getting the free figrue??I just don’t think that was very fair.

CIV was awesome. The atmosphere was great for a Star Wars event. Can’t wait for Celebration V!!!!!!
May 31, 2007 at 10:30 am
Where are the pictures of fans, especially the children?
Star Wars is about being a kid again and enjoying the universe it created. But NO pictures of the kids? No pictures from the Jedi Training Event?
C’mon people. If I wanted to read text I would buy a newspaper. Star Wars is VISUAL. Where are the picutres?????

See the thumbnails along the right side of the page? There are actually 832 photos posted on Flickr from the blog folks alone (9,301 results for Celebration IV across all of Flickr), including this album of kids at CIV: http://www.flickr.com/photos/starwarsblog/sets/72157600273095431/

I attended the entire CIV, and this was a far better experience then the last two. For one thing a more spacious convention center. We were not stepping over each other trying to get to panels. Also the store layout this time, vast, vast, improvement over the last two.
I am with Michelle on the Monday thing. I also bought a four day badge, then was told on monday that if I bought a monday one, I could get “as many figures” as I wanted for free. We spent far more on our badge, this was just a very bad decision to make. Being full attendees if anyone was to get anything free, we should have gotten it.

What is up with parts 7,8 and 9 of the Star Wars films. I know what most people are thinking. There only 6 films in the saga. Well not according to the Star Wars magazine I bought in 1978-79. In it , it gave an overview of all films to be made. Thirty years ago I knew Vader would fall into a volcano. The last 3 movies were to be about Luke as an adult and what happened after the empire fell apart.

Hmm, just noticed a past post from her royal highness Bonnie Burton
“Even though the starwars. blog is outside of starwars.com FOR THE TIME BEING I assure you it’s official.”
Cool, so does that mean this here blog will eventually become a part of the official site itself?

I ‘m the writer of Supernova/Episode VII: A New Beginning. A continuation of the Star Wars saga, this novel includes original characters such as King Han Solo & Boba Fett (Darth Hadak). Also newly distinguished characters like Princess Nova Skywalker & the clone of a Jedi Master. The story entales a war between two races of evolved clones. The Chameleons are in pursuit of a new galactic order, while the Cy-clones represent procreation and A New Beginning. . . .

January 18, 2008 at 1:47 pm
My episode 7 story co-stars Brandon Routh (Superman), along with characters like the Solo twins & Fett’s surprise apprentice.
January 18, 2008 at 4:04 pm
The force is strong with original Star Wars composer John Williams. He was also the one who made Superman fly. Check out the Indiana Jones official site and listen to the man who made you have to keep up with the jones’.
January 19, 2008 at 11:58 am
It might be cool to somehow mix the Star Wars & Superman theme scores for an Ep:7 co-starring Brandon Routh. Nice tribute to John Williams.

I have a question. I have never read any of the books except from the movies. I would like to start but their are so many where should I start.
April 28, 2008 at 11:42 am
Start with the Thrawn Trilogy or the Han Solo Trilogy - both are great and well written.
April 30, 2008 at 6:17 pm
I guess I only have one comment. I think it is in poor consideration of George Lucas to pursue additions to the Indiana Jones series [which is his business], and still feel that the Star Wars franchise is complete, in my opinion it isn’t. Until the surviving cast get one last bow, it isn’t done yet. The story that needs to be told is what happened after the Death Star [2] was destroyed? I don’t care about idle postulations from the books… that isn’t official to me.
- What did Luke end up doing?
- What role did Solo end up filling… besides Leia [sorry… lol]
- What of the Republic?
- What of the Outer Rim Systems that may have not got the message of
Vader’s demise right away?
- What did Lando Calrissian end up doing?
- What happened to Wedge?
There are is so much that can be open to complete that Mr. Lucas’s hurried out takes in the re-edits of the OG series SW movies… secondly, he should franchise the movie rights to other visionaries in Hollywood, I’d love to see Ridley Scott do one… or John Woo, or Spike Lee [LMAO! imagine that… Return of Doing the Right Thing, of Revenge of Jungle Fever?], the vision could be carried on by other up and comers, George should let Spielberg do one, after iRobot, I think he could do a decent job of bring a different look and feel tot he SW universe. At any rate… that is what I feel on the matter.

No one will know anything, anymore, after im done spying. I know everything and anything, anywhere, anyplace, at any time. Six of us were killed for the Rebels to gain the Death Star plans for Mon Mothma. Those six were killed by Darth Vader, we will have our vengeance on everyone. Replies? Reply me back and see what happens!

I been watching Star Wars ever since i was alittle kid the first i have seen as a four year was Return of the Jedi. I seen that movie so many times even the other ones like Stars Wars and the Empire strikes back alot. Stars Wars the phantom mence was ok but i hate Jar Jar Blinks he just sucks i love all the costumes that Padme and Princess Leia wears they are cool. I like Padme more. I only like two the Attacks of the clone and revage of the sith they are cool. Anaiakin says a cool lines. I wanted Pame and Anakin to get together but she dies came one. I want to write one where their is a clone Padme.

I know that the Rebel SPIN organization is located on Yavin 4. The only object owned by Darth Vader that wasn’t burned was his right glove, said to have great power. I also know where the Lost City of the Jedi is located, if you want to know, reply to me or just reply to me about anything.
