Truly, even though G.Lucas make a little mess with the prequel...i kind miss him already. SW was a universe alive and breathing...many good writers were involved and even though Lucas draw his own lines he respected many events, characters from the expanded universe. I will most agree with other fellows ...you have SO MANY NOVELS...follow the timeline...or maybe the old fans will not follow you. SW is not spiderman or startrek and i'm not going to pay, me or my sons a single penny to watch a potential disaster. I have spend so many hours reading all these novels ...so do not disappoint us please...

Yes Please keep the original vision.
This is NOT Star Trek and the Universe of Star Wars is not as vast as you may think.
It is just that a Star Wars Universe and not a Reboot.
It is a continuation of a story. Not an Ongoing mission.
Look to Timothy Zahns novels for inspiration and guidance.
Good Luck and listen to Kathleen.

Well, that's the truth of it. You can't please everybody; there will always be people whining that Star Wars is ruined, and there will always be people who feel that Star Wars hasn't been ruined, just expanded. There's lots of people today who still complain about the prequels, when they weren't THAT bad! I actually enjoyed them, mainly Episode III. Some people even look back and go, "Hey, you know what, the prequels weren't a big stain on the Star Wars legacy, they were a new start for the next generation to enjoy Star Wars". I'll admit that I'm not 100% happy about J.J. Abrams being chosen, but I'll still watch the movie and love it no matter what. J.J. Abrams, may the Force be with you.

I say to make one more movie between 2nd and 3rd episodes, and this movie will be the story end of the cartoon tv show. I think it’s a great idea to bring all characters from the show on a big screen. One of the most important part of it - in this movie we will see how Ahsoka leave the saga and leave Anakin. Of course someone will say that there is nothing to show and all was told in the cartoon, but if really deepen into this idea - there is a plenty to tell and plenty to show an interesting moments. Main idea is to end a tv show - indefinably and release live action movie where all truth will be revealed, with real actors and incredibly realistic Ahsoka like Yoda before (of course if make here full CG or partly - like performance capture), i agree maybe all this only for Ahsoka character, but isn't it what all star wars fans want to, to see a characters in real movie who make their first appearance in Clone Wars?!
Thanks all for being patience.

Hmm.

Interesting. I liked the latest Star Trek (kept continuity by stating it's an alternate universe) and loved Lost.

If I can hope for a few things:
-no reboot or retcons. Keep the EU and 'history' of Star Wars intact.
-no over the shoulder shot of character getting rushed by a white animal.
-no red yoga ball.

Worst nightmare - opening crawl of EP 7
(which is subtitled something pretentious you'll have to look up)
-Old Luke is on Hoth again looking for his second sister's white rock. (Padme had 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, or 42 kids in the reboot.)
-Cut to over the shoulder view where he's rushed by a white beast that is subsequently eaten by Cloverfield.
-Old Leia lands her ship to rescue Luke. She doesn't sit on a chair in the cockpit, but on a big red yoga ball that is levitated by the Force.
-Old Han is in an assisted care facility, mumbling about Crystal Skulls and how he swore he shot first.
-Chewie, who lived through getting crushed by that moon, now goes under an Alias, and insists on being called Walt. His ship is so out of scale it looks like the engine room is a brewery or something.
-R2 now wears a Mickey Ears cap.
-The Emperor turns into a cloud of Black Smoke.

Seriously thought, don't mess it up. (Who's kidding...you'll never please everybody, and you'll be slammed for whatever vision you present. But if you keep true to a vision your 10 year old self would love...you'll do ok.)

Good luck...yer gonna need it!
