Christmas and Doctor Who have a lot to do with each other. Every year a new Series premiers on christmas day. And their are oh so many christmas specials. Doctor Who, just like star wars, is "an all-encompassing, once-in-a-generation phenomenon — that kind of singular sensation that can’t be created by publicity, advertising, or marketing muscle."
