Wow Conan, never realized that half the people (minus 2) at Celebration were invisible.
Shame on Star Wars for condoning and promoting his “joke” dismissing half the fan base. It’s not even been a week since Wear Star Wars, Share Star Wars day!!!(http://starwarsblog.starwars.com/index.php/2012/12/12/wear-star-wars-share-star-wars-day/). I’m all for a bit of fun and I’m a long time fan of Conan, but this really disappointed me as something recognized officially.
You’re upset about THAT? What about the Star Trek reference at the end! I am offended to think that Lucasfilm would condone an acknowledgement of that other space franchise. Seriously, Conan, I think you have alienated a huge percentage of your fanbase here.
I’ve been a star wars buff since i can remember and i think that it’s petty to take any offense to Conan’s reference or jokes. If you take any work of fiction so passionate and literal that a reference to another work of fiction upsets you, you need to find balance in your life. Not the force. It’s ok to be a fan and it’s better to have a sense if humor. Props to Conan and the website team for theirs.
The Woody Allen one was lame but the Micheal Moore and Wes Anderson ones were cute. Would love to see more.

Just a bit of fun from conan. Its pretty cool. Not to be taken serously just a little joke for the christmas holidays. Lucas film ltd are obvously not taking this serously but are laughing with it. Director for Episode vii will remain a mystery for a short while a presume.

Wow! I thought Star Wars fans were of a generation that weren’t so sensitive. Ladies please, lighten up. It was a JOKE. Can anybody anywhere say anything without somebody taking it personally, taking offense, or get upset? This is Star Wars! Fun. Entertaining. Interesting. Part of our lives for many, many years. Relax. Quit griping.
