Lemur people! Blue people! Nuvo Vindi’s virus!

“Jedi Crash” (S113)

When Anakin is gravely injured in battle, Jedi General Aayla Secura must teach Ahsoka the Jedi philosophy of having no personal attachments.

“Defenders of Peace” (S114)

While the Jedi combat a new Separatist weapon, the pacifist Lurmen must decide whether they will lay down to the oppressive Separatists or fight with Anakin, Ahsoka, and Jedi general Aayla Secura.

This duology involves a colony of Lurmen, a lemur-like species, on the world of Maridun. Concept art of this species was originally designed for Revenge of the Sith but this episode marks their first onscreen appearance and introduces the species name. Expanded Universe fans might recognize the name Maridun as the home of the Amanin species.

Aayla Secura, who makes her series debut, was the first EU-developed character to appear in the films. Commander Bly, who serves under her up through Revenge of the Sith also make his series debut.

This marked the first broadcast appearance of the tactical droids seen throughout the series, though chronologically, they’ve been around since the first episode. The defoliator weapon seen in this story arc appears again in Season Four.

“Trespass” (S115)

While investigating the disappearance of a clone security force on a desolate ice world, Anakin and Obi-Wan get caught in the middle of an escalating conflict.

This episode marks the first appearance in the series of the blue-skinned Pantoran people who made their film debut in Revenge of the Sith as cameos by George and Katie Lucas. Pantoran senator Riyo Chuchi has a consistent presence throughout the series. The Talz species originates from a background character in the cantina in A New Hope. The narglatch creatures ridden by the Talz originated as concept art for creatures on Naboo in The Phantom Menace. We’ll see a narglatch again in Season Five. Pantoran chairman Chi Cho will get a replacement.

“Blue Shadow Virus” (S117)

Padmé and Jar Jar are captured while searching for a secret Separatist bio-weapons lab, sparking Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka to try and save their friends and halt the release of a deadly virus.

This episode is the first of a two-part story arc involving a biological weapon being developed by the Separatists in a secret facility on Naboo. The current Naboo queen, Queen Neyutnee, joins a revolving door of Naboo queens who succeeded Queen Amidala, which included Queen Jamillia from Attack of the Clones and Queen Apailana from Revenge of the Sith. Even by the time of Season Five, the Separatists still haven’t developed a defense against the robo-lobotomy tactic of gathering information from a severed droid head.

Hi, Mr. Chee! I posted this message on the last post but I am still hoping to get a response from you. I’m really glad to be getting the episodes in their chronological order and see how close I got. One order that I listed in my UNofficial chronology was to push Lightsaber Lost further down the line to be between Corruption and The Academy. This made for a nice little trilogy of Ahsoka development that makes a lot of sense. When you get to that point, might you be able to incorporate that (if you haven’t already)? Thanks again for making the order known.

    • avatar Jonny M says:

Interesting perspective henryj95. In my own viewing order I actually moved Lightsaber Lost forward a couple of places to sit before Greivous Intrigue. Admittedly this is entirely because Ahsoka and Tera Sinube are in the same room around the holo projector in Greivous Intrigue and, for me, it feels as though she doesn’t already know Sinube at the start of Lightsaber Lost. Tenuous stuff. I’ve been wrong before, and I’ve no doubt I’ll stand corrected again by subsequent posts from Mr Chee. That said, I look forward to these posts and I’m looking forward to learning the official placement of Lightsaber Lost and some of the other standalone episodes.

I agree with your placement of “Lightsaber Lost” in the order. Not only is Ahsoka with Sinube around the holoprojector, I believe she’s with the younglings seen at the end of “Lost”. It’s almost as if the ending of “Lightsaber Lost” leads directly into the beginning of “Grievous Intrigue”

I have a feeling that Neyutnee will be killed off at some point. Because her time as queen seems awfully short (about two years?).

  3. avatar General Grievous' Bodyguard says:

Whatever happened to Lok Durd? George Takei said he’d be a recurring villian in the series?

  4. avatar Jim says:

Before Episode 3 came out, there was talk that Chewbacca would be in it. I was hoping to see how the “blood debt” started that he owes to the Solo family. No such luck though…This would be a cool couple of episodes to see…

I wonder if Ganodi and Zatt will kiss at the end of the season. I want Bolla ropal and Onaconda farr to return to season five. I want Obi-wan to kill Darth maul. Yarael poof needs to defeat Savage opress with the help of two jedi younglings named Zatt and Ganodi. kit fisto and Plo koon might fight grivous. bolla ropal might appear in latter seasons. The last episode of season five is when Ganodi and Zatt might kiss. Clone arc commander Blitz might appear in the latter seasons. Ganodi and Zatt are sweet in the show. I just never know if Ganodi and Zatt will kiss. the rest of the gathering might get jaliuos.

    • avatar RogerRogertheSithAssassin says:

What have you been smoking?! Bolla Ropal, Onaconda Farr and Yarael Poof are dead, Savage’s chances of surviving his duel with Sidious are very slim, and Ganodi and Zatt won’t appear in any other episode this season. I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see any of the younglings again.

  6. avatar Tj says:

You don’t know for sure if Ganodi and Zatt will appear in other episodes. I wouldn’t be so sure about that. I don’t know who you are talking to who ever you are. you just don’t know whats going to happen

All I want for Christmas is a new update to this blog. Me and my three year old son Zack have been watching them all in order. More please!

  8. avatar Jeff says:

An entire month has now gone by without any updates! What gives?! :(

  9. avatar Jonny M says:

Nearly a month since the last update. Maybe Mr Chee is busy fielding EU continuity queries from the Episode VII team… ;o)

    • avatar Matt Martin says:

Leland has been doing the Chronicling The Clone Wars blogs in conjunction with these episodes airing in syndication (where they air in chronological order on channels other than Cartoon Network). He hasn’t done a new post in a while because syndication is currently in reruns (for the usual TV holiday hiatus). When they start back up again (1/14 I think) he’ll be continuing this series.

  10. avatar henryj95 says:

Hey, everyone! I know that the actual post will be more exciting but a while back, Mr. Chee said this: “The episodes in Blogs #5 and #6 will be pretty predictable. I’ve tried to focus these blogs on connections to the overall series. After #6, the episode timeline bounces around all over the place.” So, if you want to preemptively continue your chronological marathon, go ahead and watch “Mystery of a Thousand Moons”, “Storm Over Ryloth”, “Innocents of Ryloth”, and “Liberty on Ryloth”. Post #7 is where stuff will get crazy.

  11. avatar RogerRogertheSithAssassin says:

When will the next blog be put up?

  12. avatar Todd says:

Yeah…it has been eight weeks now. What is the deal. I was excited about this blog. Impatient that it was bi-weekly to begin with…because the chronology of this series IS known to the creators. Not much effort has to go into writting this out. But we could have had another 16 episodes of information by now. Further frustration is censored in order to not appear ungrateful.
