Star Wars Will Be Forever

I used to work for Disney. I’m not sure how many of you knew that. I was in the Television Animation Division, and I worked on projects like Teamo Supremo, Kim Possible, Lilo and Stitch: The Series, Dave the Barbarian, and Fillmore. It was an amazing time for me as an animation artist. Walking around the studio lot and seeing the influence that Walt Disney himself had on every aspect of his studio. When I started at Lucasfilm I saw that same attention to detail everywhere around me, and it all came directly from George.

Over the years that I have worked at Lucasfilm, I have been fortunate to work with Disney again, by participating in Star Wars Weekends in Orlando. It’s a yearly celebration of Star Wars that takes place at Disney World and it always leaves me impressed. The entire team that works on the event loves Star Wars and has always shown the greatest respect for it. The commitment to quality is always there, whether it’s in the live performances or the details in the costumed characters. They want to get Star Wars right, and they always do. Star Wars and Disney work well together. I’m sure anyone that has gone to Star Wars Weekends would agree.

I think this is an incredibly exciting time for all of us. I am being reunited with old friends of mine from my Disney days and getting ready, like all of you, for Episodes VII, VIII, and IX. When Revenge of the Sith was over, I found myself in the incredible position of carrying the torch forward. Now I can see the incredibly bright light that is the future of Star Wars. For those of you who are fans of The Clone Wars, do not worry. We have many stories left to tell, and every one of them came directly from George himself. Right down to the last one, where that thing with Ahsoka happens…

Thanks to George, Star Wars truly will be forever. Now, let’s make the jump to hyperspace. Things are gonna get awesome!

I think they need to revamp the old clone wars series, parts of it don’t seem to line up e.g. no ahsoka, n doesnt get that new looking arm till he has long hair, and at at times it can only be taken as serious as robot chicken… I did enjoy it and it’s still good for a laugh but they gotta do something about it, do it with CGI starting from the end of episode 2 and going up to the Animated clone wars movie. I’ve been watching star wars for as long as i can remember, probably some 14 of my 21 years. just think it needs improving…
Ahsoka will die at the hands of maul/savage and anakin will destroy them both either end of 5th season or somewhere in the 6th.
“…And the quarter-back is Toast!” Boba Fett robot chicken 2

Please try to sit George down in front of the complete works of Kurosawa. The first film was really good.

Please bring Silood back in season five. I would like to see an episode where Zatt begins to like Ganodi also i would like to see Petro Byph and Gungi start teasing Zatt. Also i would like to see Ganodi starting to like Zatt. Then i would like to see Ganodi and Zatt kiss at the end of season.

Just make sure you can make good aliens like George did. Not frogs standing up with snail eyes slapped on. I mean like that monster Obi Wan fought in the arena which I forget the name of. Or the awesome looking Rhodians. And try to use more of your good characters: Savage, Darth Maul, Obi Wan, Anakin, Boba, Ventress. Instead of introducing new (uncreative) characters and taking us on long 4 part series mith minimal fighting and no drama. I probably couldn’t do any better, though I’m trying to be a director myself. I guess all I can say is this: Please continue the way you used to, it is the clone wars after all, not the frog wars…

My Dad’s worst fear when he was growing up was that he would die and Star Wars wasn’t over yet. Sorry Dad!

we want victory but not at the cost of innocent lives! think of the mortification of Star Wars being lowered down, down, down. Down to Disney level.Do we really want Star Wars 7 to be mickey mouse running around with a lightsaber, saving a fainting snow white? NOOOOOOOO! And the fans will be lowered right down with it! The pride of all the fans of Star Wars was a beautiful thing, massed together. Sharing a passion, our hearts bursting with pride. OUR Jedi. OUR Sith. OUR heroes. OUR X-wing fighters and blaster guns!! Now what are we! Another bunch of disney fans. What’s has our universe far, far away reduced to? Another batch of movies that Disney’s been churning out.

Yes George, perhaps we DO owe you thanks. But I’ll always wonder…

    at what cost.

I haven’t caught the whole series, but this season of the Clone Wars has been a wonderful guilty pleasure of mine. Sometimes, I’ll be watching and think to myself, “I can’t believe the how amazing the visual direction and writing in this show is.” Then when I put it into the perspective of a cartoon on television my mind is blown. You and your team are incredible! I loved the Mandelor arc (animation on the darksaber is so cool) and the chase sequence with Asoka in the latest episode. Bravo!

It seems “ginny ze jedi” thinks that VII will be “mickey mouse running around with a lightsaber, saving a fainting snow white.”

“Right down to the last one, where that thing with Ahsoka happens…” Wait, does this mean we won?

Nvm, thought this was recent. #### Disney! #SaveTheCloneWars

I really hope that Disney keeps up Clone Wars. Season 5 ended with alot of unanswered questions. It can not end there. It would be great if a republic commando mission segment would be included, hopefully involving Delta Squad. Bottom line is…Keep Clone wars alive. There is still so much to tell.
