I do not understand the second, there is nothing scary, and yes the other end of Anakin was the scariest!

This might just be me but I always got a good scare when Luke and Vader fight on the second Death Star and Luke’s hiding while Vader talks about Leia, leading to Luke cutting off Vader’s hand.

The scene with the tusken raiders on tatooine from A new hope scares me. Tusken raiders are just creepy.

As a child, the scene that scared me quite a bit was on Empire Strikes Back. When Luke is confronting Vader, there was a scene where he walks through a tunnel. When he comes out the tunnel, it closes really fast.

Even when I knew that scene was coming up, it would still scare me.

My son was five years old when the dvds of the original trilogy were released. When I quickly inserted ESB into the player to check out the new scenes with Ian McDiarmid as the emperor, I completely forgot that my son was in the room. When he saw the emperor, he freaked out. But, the emperor is pretty darn scary in every single scene he’s in from the OT.

I found the scene right before Mace dies unnerving. The whole creepy slimy way the Emperor pretended to be weak and tricked Anakin…and most of us know what’s coming … like a roller coaster about to drop. HE was the scariest monster of all, because he looked (beforehand) so normal!
