Fascinating. I bet this will be the most interesting of the 3 books since it seems like jedi’s been covered the least over the years.

Great Artwork from the late great Ralph McQuarrie from Return Of The Jedi. Looking forward to The Making Of Return Of The Jedi book By J. W. Rinzler coming out in October 2013. The book can’t come out soon enough.

Excellent! It’ll be interesting to see which are conceptual and which are licensed artwork. A lot of MQ’s work for Jedi was indeed licensed because in some paintings (such as the one from Home One) there are details that Ralph could only have added while seeing shots of the movie. Those paintings could never have been conceptual artworks.

Ahhh this book can’t get published fast enough, sounds like many new discoveries and interesting avenues of the development of the films. After the publishing, please consider blogging unanswered questions you were not able to get adequate answers to because of the limited time frame.
