Editor’s Note: For fans of The Clone Wars, and a huge number of Star Wars fangirls, our newest contributor needs no introduction. But for the rest of you, we’re pleased to introduce Ashley Eckstein, the voice of Ahsoka Tano and the entrepreneur behind Her Universe, a company specializing in awesome sci-fi apparel and accessories designed just for women. Ashley has appeared in this blog in the past, but starting today, she’ll be joining us as a regular blogger!

Welcome to the Official Star Wars Blog! My name is Ashley Eckstein and I am the voice of Ahsoka Tano on Star Wars The Clone Wars and the founder of Her Universe, the first Star Wars merchandise line made exclusively for female fans!
Many of you may know me and many of you may not, so let me explain why I am here. As an actress, I was fortunate enough to land the role of a lifetime when I was cast as the voice of Ahsoka in The Clone Wars. I have been a life-long Star Wars fan, and to have the opportunity to help originate a character like Ahsoka is an honor and privilege that I do not take lightly!
In 2008, when I entered the Star Wars Universe with The Clone Wars movie, I was embraced by Star Wars fans from all over the world. At that moment I knew that I had a responsibility to be the best Star Wars representative I could be. I quickly discovered that as a female fan, I was not alone. In fact, close to half of all Star Wars fans are women and girls. Realizing that I only had one Star Wars shirt in my closet that was actually made for a girl, I started my company, Her Universe, to provide female fans an equal opportunity to show off their Star Wars pride in style. I also wanted to create a community for fangirls, a safe place to be a girl AND a Star Wars fan! Star Wars is not just for boys and it’s not just for girls, it’s a story for everyone! Star Wars is universal!

I will be a regular contributor to the Star Wars blog and I look forward to bringing you stories from a fangirl’s point of view and behind-the-scenes stories from The Clone Wars and other Star Wars events like Course of the Force and Celebration!
I’ll be kicking things off with my first post tomorrow from Course of the Force where I’ll be co-hosting the Olympic-style, lightsaber relay race with Chris Hardwick, Alison Haislip and Alex Albrecht from Santa Monica, CA down to San Diego Comic-Con benefitting the Make A Wish Foundation.
Here’s where the fun begins…

First order of business, we need to convince George to NOT kill off Ahsoka…
I agree with you Bob. Ahsoka needs to live past the Clone Wars. She’s a great character. One of my favorites! I’ll be really upset if she does not survive Order 66!
ikr!!!! she needs to stay on! she has such amazing flexiblity, wit, and all that kind of good stuff! I WILL PROTEST AGAINST STAR WARS THE CLONE WARS IF GEORGE KILLS AHSOKA OFF!!!! IM NOT LYING EITHER! READ THIS GEORGE! BEWARE!!! lol…

You’re awesome Pablo.
It was great to (re)meet Ashley at Course of the Force this morning! I will forever proudly be wearing the original blue burnout Star Wars tee from HerUniverse. Thank you, Ashley, for being so gracious to us fangirls!
It’s awesome to have someone like Ashley contributing this blog. Who not only is the voice of Ahsoka, but understands the fans. Let alone being a fan herself. It’ll be interesting to get some important insights from her. Looking forward to it.
Who else thinks Ashley could play an older Ahsoka in the live-action show? Hopefully George and Dave Filloni won’t kill her off! Let her go and have a semi-nice life with Lux.
Welcome, Ashley. Your work and your character is admired. Keep it up!
Disculpa soy braulio me gustaria interpretar un personaje la.serie the clone wars y que mi personaje estuviera enamorado de ahsoka tano. Yo soy un verdadero fanatico de the clone wars. Por favor responde.
I am man. Yo quiero pedirte una solicitud para poder entrar en la serie de theclone wars season 5 or season 6. Yo tengo una gran voz. Please responde.
Can I ask you if I did not think you Ahsoka Tano that the character was jedi master and taught her, if I suggest in my opinion it should be Beyghor Padawan Sahdett (mages.wikia.com/starwars/images/1/11/BeyghorSahdett-Rep79. jpg)because it is a peaceful, tolerant, intelligent, quiet, calm, polite. For me, that was the opposite of the behavior Ahsoka interesting.
Do you think it’s a good idea?
i absolutely luv ahsoka so i hope she makes it far and becomes a jedi master and if she does, i want to see her teach others like anakin taught her!!!! luv u ashley!!! ur awesome!!!
I see that you understand me, it would be interesting to see in the role of master of Ashoka, as well as seeing the Beyghor Sahdtt in “The Clone Wars”.
Thank you very much for reading my comment.
