What a great story (and interview)!

The fact that Star Wars changed everything was obviously not lost on George Lucas. He moved from the anonymous camp into the sparsely populated superstar spotlight virtually overnight — and it still seemed to concern him at the time of the interview. Star Wars certainly changed you, too!

Who among us didn’t dream of meeting Lucas or seeing Skywalker Ranch? I remember anytime news came out about George Lucas (not merely Star Wars), Dad would show it to me or tell me about it. Back in those first ten years, I could name only a handful of directors, and only knew one name each in sound design, soundtracks, and concept art. Star Wars captured us entirely; we wanted to know every aspect of the story, the scenes, and the behind-the-scenes story. Your story reminds me of how I felt about Star Wars.

I guess that’s why we all love to hear from you, Steve. You’re like any one of us. Great story!
