Fan-Made Star Wars HUDs

November 24, 2010

Turn your computer into a temporary Star Wars prop with these cool fan-made HUDs (heads-up displays)! Check out these awesome downloadable screens for the Death Star power display, Millennium Falcon gunport display, X/Y-wing targeting computer and more!

“Software props” is a term I have coined for these little programs. The idea is to take a specific computer or console as seen in a science-fiction film and simulate the workings of that screen in a Flash program. Sorry but they are not games, although some do allow you to control them.

I guess im confused. can you actually implement these as gadgets to work with realtime computer stats or do they just sit there as standalone programs on the desktop?
