Make this astromech cake with cake mix, Rice Krispie Treats, cream filling and some creativity.

“The whole thing is layers of red velvet cake with white chocolate ganache and chocolate hazelnut buttercream filling throughout. And yes, the Rice Krispie Treat arms.”

    This is nice, but dude’s a professional with a massive kitchen in which to do this, and someone paid an arm and a leg for that droid. More impressive is when amateurs do this sort of thing not for profit but for love of the franchise and love of their kids. My wife made this for my son’s 4th birthday. It, too is all edible.

    Well, it being red I think this would be R2-M5, rather than R2-D2 since he was blue.

    I had an R2-D2 cake when I was a kid but it was a sheet cake and no where near as cool as this.

    OMG what a cake too good to eat. Id defo want to have my cake and eat it. What is the icing, id think royal, dont see how it would be possible with buttercream frosting. Would love to make something similar for my sons 5th birthday in november, if anyone could advise on the icing id be so grateful.
