(Nathan Fillion on Castle)
We already knew actor Nathan Fillion’s character Richard Castle on the hit show Castle has Jedi Mind Trick skills, but this is the first time we’ve heard about Nathan’s own ability to wield a lightsaber.
Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Nathan talked about his brief lightsaber battle with a neighbor one night after a party. We loved his Star Wars Christmas tree, but this might just seal the deal on why Nathan Fillion is one of our favorite celebrity Star Wars fans. Most impressive, Sir. Most impressive.

YEAH!!!
yes. he is a cool and fun celebrities. not just for being a star wars geek which is hell funny, but also for having some of the best facial expressions in Hollywood. Nathan Fillion I salute you for being a fun, entertaining, lively, friendly, geeky man of the silver screen.
Good thing it was Nathan and not Adam Baldwin; the thought of Jayne Cobb wielding a lightsaber is too creepifying to contemplate
Send a storm trooper over to the Castle set to deliver Star Wars goodies, tell Nathan…see if he’ll vid it…or have it video-ed. Then leave Fillion the suit? Talk about inspiration for mischief.
Nathan is by far my favourite tweeter on twitter. That this guy has got his life and career so well rounded now is a testament to his patience… and his Canadian-ness.
Geektastic!!!
Ohmigod, Captain Reynolds is a Star Wars fan? I am so crushing on him right now.
Nathan is one of the nicest guys in Hollywood, and very talented. I’ve never seen a piece of his work I didn’t like — even when he plays counter to type, as he did in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. (I still prefer him in heroic roles, but when he’s bad, he’s scary creepy bad that just gets right under your skin and freaks you out.)
One of his more endearing qualities is that he’s not afraid of or embarrassed to play in fandoms or universes he enjoys.
All in all, a super guy. I’ll watch anything he’s in, and I wish him all the success in the world.
Just when I thought he couldn’t be more adorable.
Now this is definitely cute. I was already wowed by the fact that he played the voice of a sergeant on Halo 3 alongside his regular superbness but this is like topping it all with a cherry.
Keep at it, you’re my favorite geek celebrity and that too for all the right reasons
this is so cool; i love castle and star wars. best movie series and best show on tv.
Well I reckon most SW fans would want to see Nathan in the live action show, so I say keep encouraging Capt Mal and he might just end up in the show!
