Hasbro Comic Two-Packs for 2010

StarWars.com Team | February 16, 2010

Before heading back to the Toy Fair floor today, we wanted to share a couple upcoming releases that were attached to the tail-end of Hasbro’s Star Wars presentation last weekend, but weren’t on display in their showroom (at least we don’t think they were — we’ll have to check our photos).

As a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive this year, the Darth Maul and Owen Lars Comic 2-Pack will be available with a reprint of a Star Wars: Visionaries comic. These will also be available through Hasbro’s site and StarWarsShop.com.

For Celebration V in August, a second comic 2-pack including Camie and Fixer from the Star Wars: Empire comic (and the cut Tatooine scenes from A New Hope) will be available, also through Hasbro and StarWarsShop. Could a womp rat be far behind?

  1. I LIKE IT!I HAVE GOT DARTH MAUL!THAT IST SO COOL, NICE, WOW!

  2. avatar Sompeetalay says:

I surely would like Camie & the Fixer to have been non-exclusive figures. Why is Hasbro always making the most interesting sets as exclusives?

  3. avatar jettlakota says:

    hmm…i’ll look into these

  4. avatar DeltaK1 says:

    Is that Darth Mual?

  5. avatar RZion says:

Now if only we could get word of whether the Jarael/Rohlan set’s fate. That’s the one I’d readily buy!

  6. avatar happy says:

    RUNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DARTH MAUL IS BACK!!!!!!

  7. avatar pablo says:

that darth maul is from a non-cannonical history about him searching obi-wan kenobi years later his duel on naboo.
when he reach tatooine, he atacks owen lars ranch with young luke skywalker then obi wan comes to help, and after he defeat darth maul, owen reach and kill the sith lord by shooting in his face, after that owen says to obi wan that never come back to the ranch and that he stay away from his family.

Silly blog post – Hasbro made a womp rat at least a year ago in the Lars Homestead battle pack. And these packs are only exclusives since the comic pack line was crushed by Hasbro. Otherwise they would have appeared normally.

  9. avatar Patrick Duggan says:

I personally love the story of how darth maul survives being cut at the waist and is saved by having prosthetic legs and waist attached. i thought that character was way too cool and interesting to be killed off by a padawan in his first appearance.

  10. avatar Dan Cocran says:

Does this have to do with the new Fixer comic book, we heard about last year?

  11. avatar Igor says:

What a cool Darth Maul figure! With those robotic legs and the spiked heads, and a curved lightsaber!I wonder if Hasbro will make that lightsaber,it will sell alot in my opinion.

  12. avatar christian says:

Great i just got my passes for comic con10!!!!!!!!!! i am for sure to get the exclusive!!!!

  13. avatar christian says:

HEY PATRICK DUGGAN DONT FORGET THAT PADAWAN WAS OBI-WAN!!!THE BEST EVER!!!!LOL

  14. avatar Stooge says:

That Maul/Owen pack is insanely cool.

  15. avatar JedifromNJ says:

I’m sad the comic packs aren’t being made anymore. Pretty sure these two are some of the final comic packs.

  16. avatar Alex Valdez says:

Darth Maul / Robot Chicken :)

  17. avatar Alex Valdez says:

Woe, did you say last of the comic packs?

  18. avatar Marty Hehman says:

with all the new figures coming out will there also be more playsets? I would love to see Toche Station and or Lars homestead with the T-16 and lar’s Family Land Speeder? Figures and vehicles from ” The Star Wars Holiday Special ” and ” Battle of Endor “. would be a huge plus!! or even to revamp the 1980’s ” Death Star” playset for the 4 3/4 figures.

  19. avatar Richard Grissom says:

There already was a Womprat. Lolz. He came in the Toys r us exclusive Disturbance at Lars Homestead.

  20. avatar Richard Grissom says:

I love the Camie and Fixer pack. Now I wish they would make Han Solo’s girlfriend from Tatooine, and maybe Bea Arthur or Chewies Family. Haha!

  21. They need to make another Battle of Jabiim comic except with Aubrie Wyn and a Nimbus Commando.

  22. avatar coblstone says:

The Darth Maul Figure would’ve paired better with a middle-aged Obi-Wan who wants an Owen Lars figure, jeez wake up!!!

  23. avatar bill says:

how is obi wan strongest?vader killed him.there is no spirit of vader.vader decided his own fate by saving luke.proved he is strongest ,as he proved he had both good and dark force within.the only jedi to possess love and hate.obi wan tried to stop anakin from feeling emotion.emotion is all powerfull christian my young apprentice.

  24. avatar pada1 says:

The “Visionaries” TPB is great! The Darth Maul comic back should have had Obi-Wan included instead. The Darth Maul droid legs look amazing! Hope I can scoop this up!
