Cardboard Star Destroyer Craft!

Bonnie Burton | January 18, 2010

Don’t throw out that cardboard! Now you can transform trash into a Star Destroyer worthy of an Imperial fleet. Here’s a great example of a crafty fan making one heck of a collectible out of corrugated cardboard. Well done!

    I made a star destroyer and a Millenium Falcon out of cardboard when i was a kid. Each was about 16″ long! I think i eventually burned and blew them up but that’s another story…

    Thanks you guys, for all the nice comments!

    My son was a bit worried after the story was published and I promised to forward his message:
    “-Dad, tell them that it can’t really fly..”

    @mr. dr. professor jedi sir

    All in all we used a big box of corrugated cardboard, 2 cotton pulp balls, 6 matches, a scalpel, a glue gun, and some paint.

    We didn’t have any blue prints or nothing so we had to watch the Empire Strikes Back dvd a couple of times.
