Annie Noms for Clone Wars & Robot Chicken

Looks like the Force is strong with The Annie Awards. The Intl. Animated Film Society announced the nominations last Tuesday. Winners will be revealed at ceremonies Feb. 6 at UCLA’s Royce Hall.

Kevin Kiner is nominated for “Music in a Television Production” for
Star Wars: The Clone Wars, “Weapons Factory” episode.

While our friends at Shadow Machine are up for “Best Animated Short Subject” award for their Robot Chicken: Star Wars 2.5.

    A nomination for music only?
    The Clone Wars is absolutely incredible, but because it’s Star Wars, it tends to get overlooked by the industry and only receives these small type awards and not the ones it truly deserves.

    I didn’t know that they gave out Annies for best animation. I’m glad to see The Clone Wars get nominated. I love the show and I watch it every Friday.
