It took me twelve years to be validated in my belief that this thing actually existed. No one in my family (but me) saw it; no one at my school saw it. Finally, someone approached me in 1990, telling me about some British bootleg Star Wars special he had seen, then he was surprised when I started giving him a play-by-play about the events in Chewie’s family (except for the disturbing part with Itchy’s virtual fantasy — thankfully, my traumatized 5 year-old brain couldn’t recall that part), he asked when I had seen it. I told him it was on TV “long ago”.

I still love the Holiday Special — maybe it’s just for nostalgia’s sake — but it would be nice to have a clean (and legitimate) copy.
