I'm just waiting to get my 8-disc special edition of the Holiday Special.

It took me twelve years to be validated in my belief that this thing actually existed. No one in my family (but me) saw it; no one at my school saw it. Finally, someone approached me in 1990, telling me about some British bootleg Star Wars special he had seen, then he was surprised when I started giving him a play-by-play about the events in Chewie's family (except for the disturbing part with Itchy's virtual fantasy -- thankfully, my traumatized 5 year-old brain couldn't recall that part), he asked when I had seen it. I told him it was on TV "long ago".

I still love the Holiday Special -- maybe it's just for nostalgia's sake -- but it would be nice to have a clean (and legitimate) copy.
