Using a swimming pool foam noodle, PVC pipe and an end cap and an electrical tape, you too can make this crafty lightsaber for younglings to act out their favorite Jedi battles.
Do your kids (boys in particular) love swords and/or lightsabers? Mine do. In fact everything at our house can be turned into a sword with a little imagination. We saw some of these swords at a craft fair a few years ago and decided to make some on our own. They are super easy.
We have a outdoor use only policy and strict rules about not hitting one another with them. The swords can only touch swords. They are only to be used in pretend combat as they could do some serious damage. My boys have also used them as baseball bats to hit tennis balls around our backyard.

PVC Swords/Lightsabers

Thanks for linking to my PVC swords. My sons are major Star Wars fans (my husband too for that matter). My son will love that you posted him on here. Now I must go and have a look around!
HIT THINGS!!!!!!
There simply can’t be enough Star Wars Crafts in the world.
If you eliminate the PVC pipe components and just go with the noodle and tape these are a lot little kid friendlier. My Boys have 2 and can bring them in the house and smack each other without serious damage. We just have a no head policy.
You can also make Darth Maul’s lightsaber by sticking two red noodles on both ends and just taping around the middle.
