The love for science fiction isn’t limited to political affiliation. Conservatives love to talk about Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who and more; and now they can read all the sci-fi news and rumors without any liberal bias with Republibot.
Republibot describes itself as “the science fiction site for people who aren’t Drooling Kneejerk Liberals!”
Why a conservative SF website? Because pretty much all the ones out there right now are extremely hard left. In fact, as a genre Science Fiction itself is generally rather leftist, which is not something we here at Republibot take issue with. In our minds, Science Fiction is all about asking questions and being open minded to the answers. Sometimes the answers are reassuring, sometimes they’re disturbing, and sometimes there are no answers at all, but the point is to keep asking the questions.

Very interesting. Not for me, though, I’m a “drooling kneejerk liberal.”
I am a huge sw fan and I am repub. smiles
Hey, thank you for the nod! We appreciate the publicity.
Despite our admitted bias – and everyone elses’ unstated bias – we’re going for ‘insightful’ rather than reactionary or rabble-rousing. We’ve made a point of forbidding any kind of hate speech from the site, and mostly we’re trying to cover aspects of SF that the other sites haven’t thought of, or simply wouldn’t touch. You know, stuff like whether or not religion has a place in SF, or whether one has to leave their faith at the door when they come in (Answer: a bit of both, actually), why SF is a good medium to try out theoretical dry-runs for political theories, and stuff like that. We’ve also interviewed (Respectfully) some liberal SF figures like John Varley and Ron Miller to get their perspectives, and we’ve frankly been honored to talk to ‘em. They’re great human beings, even if their politics differ from ours.
So thank you again for the mention, and to people like Eric above, please do check us out. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
Hey, thanks for pointing that out!
hmmm…maybe there are a lot more liberal science fiction fans because they, i don’t know, actually like and support science in general.
