Today, marks the birth of my boss (well actually — my boss’s boss’s boss’s boss) George Lucas.
Now is the day to reflect on all the good stuff we’ve gotten thanks to the Maker.
Without George Lucas we would never appreciate cruising in classic cars and eating at Mel’s Diner. Without Lucas we would never have imagined a galaxy full of Jedi, Sith, stormtroopers, droids, Wookiees, Ewoks and AT-ATs. Without Lucas we would never have re-enacted outrunning a big boulder while trying to swipe a Golden Fertility Idol. Heck, without Lucas we’d never have known the power of the Force!
So take a moment today to play with your Star Wars action figures, wear your Indy fedora with pride, and try a Jedi Mind Trick on someone you love.
Happy Birthday, Boss!

Happy Birthday, Mr. Lucas! Thanks so much for all you’ve done!
Happy Birthday. Thanks for all you have done and all that you are planning. More movies would be good but TV, games and books are fine.
Happy Birthday George Lucas, with many happy returns!
Happy belated Birthday, George Lucas! Thanks you so very very much for your imagination, creativity, and mind boggling talent that graced us with Star Wars!! Your movies are among the best, if not THE best of all time and I absolutely love the fact that I’ve been lucky enough to experience it’s… awesomeness?? (wow, can anyone think of a more lame word? – lol) Here’s to you and your art!!!
May The Force Be With You.
Happy Birthday Master Lucas. Thanks for sharing your dreams.
Belated bonne anniversaire mon amie. But I was thinking about you all day and hoping for happiness always.
Ahh – you have no idea of the gift you’ve given us. Reminds me of the lyrics of “To Sir, With Love” – What, what can I give you in return?
Lulu sings To Sir, With Love -
But how do you thank someone, who has taken you from crayons to perfume?
It isn’t easy, but I’ll try,
If you wanted the SKY I would write across the SKY in letters,
That would soar a thousand feet high,
To Sir, with Love
The time has come,
For closing books and long last looks must end,
And as I leave,
I know that I am leaving my best friend,
A friend who taught me right from wrong, (DARK SIDE AVOIDANCE)
And weak from strong,
That’s a lot to learn,
What, what can I give you in return?
Skywalking, indeed.
