  3. Chris Merrick says:

This is great. I heard about it in school. I’m a die-hard Star Wars fan, and even I didn’t think about that.

  4. MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU…

It took me all day to figure out that not only was today Star Wars Day, but also just why today, of all days, is Star Wars Day. (Hint: Take another read of this post’s headline, and, if necessary, use The Force.)
And then, celebrate the occasion …

  5. Amy Henson says:

Just don’t celebrate enough to have a revenge of the fifth.

  6. Melissa says:

    “Utini!”

  7. CRUD. I REALLY wanted to annoy my friends w/ that.

  8. JediAllie says:

  9. B Russ says:

  10. william says:

Star Wars day is the same day as my wife’s birthday. How cool is that- I get to celebrate her birthday and Star Wars at the same time- the two great loves of my life. Lucky for me, she lets me get by with it, since she is a star wars fan herself. Can’t get any better than that.

  11. Mark Skywalker says:

    To JediAllie:
“Utini” means “Come over here” in Jawaese, the native language of the Jawas.

  12. Johannes de Beer says:

Since I got married on this day in 1996, I can safely say the 4th has been with me for a while now.

  13. DNA GEEK says:

this should be an official holiday. Start a petition to make it so!!!!

May the forth be with us all…

  14. etmaul says:

Star Wars Day, and it’s my Friday?! Now I must go home and start my weekend right and either watch one of the TV series or the movies! This will be a day long remembered, every year, for the rest of my life!

  15. Sheri says:

“May the 4th be with you” has been around before the 2005 mistranslation that I read repeated in so many articles yesterday. The joke was not new when I learned it in 2003 as part of a yearly running gag at a job that I left in 2004. So I know the joke has been around longer than 2005.
It is still fun after all of these years.
