We just heard word today that Del Rey Outcast author Aaron Allston underwent bypass surgery yesterday, and is currently in recovery in the hospital.
Aaron’s family has set up a blood donation sponsorship. If anyone in the Dallas area would like to donate blood, you can go to the National Blood Exchange or Carter BloodCare. Allston has not only been an amazing SW author, but also a prodigious D&D designer, particular for the Gazetteer series (”Known World”/”Mystara”) for OD&D and its 2G incaarnation. I interviewed AA for our online fan page “Tome of Mystara” in 1999 or 2000 and found him to be gracious, open, and appreciative of the fan communities.
