Fanboys expands (again!) into its largest release yet, adding 11 new cities for the weekend of February 27! In total Fanboys will be showing in 24 cities on 46 screens.
The new regions include: Minneapolis, Baltimore, Miami, Pittsburgh, Orlando, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Providence RI, Greensboro NC, Memphis and Cleveland.

Oh come on, just give us a wide release already! This is getting really frustrating, still no showings in Las Vegas?
Saw it this weekend in Cary, NC (near Raleigh). The movie was wonderful, pure and total nerd service. Oh and Kristen Bell.
Unfortunately the theater was near empty (saw it Sunday early afternoon), no doubt due to the lack of marketing and its troubled plot and distribution past. It does look like its still playing there though its not on the list above. (crossroads 20 theater in Cary, NC).
Go support it!

How does it make any sense at all to not release Fanboys nationwide?
Attention Studio Execs – I would have seen this movie at least twice already here in Tampa, along with the thousands of others in my city who want to see it. Apparently you don’t want our money… ?
Also, be aware that I did not go and see another movie in place of seeing Fanboys when I found out it wasn’t playing. You didn’t get my money from some other piece of garbage you put in my theater instead. I just stayed at home. It boggles the mind how ignorant you must be to not release this movie everywhere already. Pathetic idiots.

eff the Weinsteins…I have waited over a year for this movie and I have written emails and supported it and tried to make them understand that it’s got a pre-installed fanbase and still they nickel and dime the release. At this rate it will be on DVD before they figure out what the hell they want to do with it theatrically.
I just don’t understand why no wide release. Even as a limited release Portland, OR gets other movies in their market.

My wife and I have been waiting for eons to go see this movie. I even emailed the link on the website asking for it to be played in our area when it was first released. Yesterday we go to our local AMC Barrywoods 24 theater to buy tickets and get this, they tell us the print was sent to the wrong theater and we have to come back tomorrow. Called theater today and they are definitely showing it today.
P.S. – Go to the website for the movie and make sure you demand they play it in your area. The more emails they get the bigger the chance it will play in your local cineplex.

I liked it greatly, total geekness and fan service. Some of the best take on the fans of both Star Wars and star Trek I have seen. I so cannot wait to get it on DVD when it is released.
So I just found out FANBOYS is being released in Canada on April 3rd!! Only three cities, Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto.
It’s playing at Empire theatres in Toronto for sure, it’s listed on their website.

I made that post a week ago and unfortunately got excited for the opening…
I too was looking at Empire’s website to find the exact showtimes for this weekend but no luck. The movie is not even listed on their website anymore.. I have enquired within and will hopefully hear back before Friday.
I also found an article in METRO written today, and it states that the movie is opening in Toronto on Friday but of course does not say where. The cineplex website doesn’t have it listed, but Tribute.ca does oddly enough. I still cannot find showtimes.
I will post Empire theatres’ response if they even respond. Good luck…
