just got the ROTS Starfighter and the Snowspeeder sets at Target … both have fold out playsets…already had a Snowspeeder but wanted to see the new playset.
just picked up the obiwan episode III starfighter at target in liberty mo this morning. There were only two on the shelves. My son will be excited!
Found the ROTJ Millenium Falcon are you guys ready? at my local Costco!! Hasbron NEVER said that was a Costco Exclusive. If anyone needs to get it and it’s not a Costco member and leave in the Phoenix area let me know and I can get one. Very cool set at $28.99 (better than $34.99 from Wal-Mart last year)

I just ordered the Star Wars Galactic Heroes: Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Jedi Starfighter Episode III on http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com. It was $24.99 plus s&h. 1. Do you have a release date for the TRU Exclusive Galactic Heroes Cinema Scenes Kamino Showdown and Purchase of the Droids?
2. Is it your policy now to announce or not announce as the case may be new Galactic Heroes sets and 2 pack waves through resellers? It seems that some get to order new sets from you and post them on their websites for pre order before any info or pictures have bee released to them or us. I DID HEAR THAT THE RECENT 2 PACKS THAT WERE ANNOUNCED MAY BE A MARKET TEST BEFORE ANY TOOLING HAS BEGUN????
3. Will the ROTJ Falcon become available at any other stores or stay as a Costco exclusive? (OR CAN ANYONE PURCHASE ME A COSTCO GIFT CARD SO THAT I CAN GET A FALCON FOR XMAS????)
4. It seems that 2009 had more Vehicles and Cinema Scenes than 2 packs. Is this a trend that we can look forward to in the future or will we see the figures from the sets turn up in 2 packs …. such as Ewok & Glider that was not an EXCLUSIVE in the scene Endor Attack. Others figures that were not stated as exclusives in Scenes but have not made it to a 2 pack are … Spirit of Anakin, Dak & Probe Droid, Medal ceremony Leia, Porkins & Dodonna.
Jedi DS I’ll take a stab at your questions

1.- Not really
, we originally anounced August but as you know we keep screwing you fans with false on-shelf dates. Our bet is that we will have it out by the Holiday season (sort of)
2.- Hasbro does not have any policies, again, we like to screw fans with flase information and crappy distribution. The two-packs are indeed real but as you may expect, they will be delayed of course.
3.- We like to “surprise” fans once in a while, we never said that the ROTJ MF was going to be a Costco Exclusive so we can get everyone excited about it and then as always dissapoint you all you loyal fans, supporting this line unconditionally. We are trying to help Costco getting more members, so this is a good strategy given the popularity of this cute, chunky, gotta have it, only GH vehicle with lights and sounds.
4.- Here at Hasbro, we don’t have any trends, we produce whatever is more cost effective and that generates more profit for the company. We will never have figures that are exclusive to sets sell separately as 2-packs as that is the whole point about selling and making money: Make the customer buy a $23 Cinema Scene set for only a couple of new figures.

you can buy it at costco website and pay a surcharge if you are not a member .. it was only $1.85 and the total including shipping was only $33 … not bad really i think i paid more for the last one at walmart

Has anyone found the Battle of Endor or Slave I IN STORES yet?
Picked up the Slave I last night from a Target store here in Pheonix. They also had the Endor set but passed at this time. I used clone cash and the set came up to less than $20!
Found 2 AT RT’s and Rancor sets at Ross for 8.99 ….. bargain! Ready to repaint them for Lightning Squadron to go with the upcoming Ryloth set.

Just picked up the ROTJ Falcon at a Costcos. They had a huge display with a couple hundred boxes. I am not a member, but they gave me a “Temp Shopping Card” at the customer service desk when I asked. No fee or anything

My COSTCO Falcon arrived! Has anyone else noticed that the Tie Interceptors in the background look very GH like whilst the other ships do not. If you look closely on the Obi Wan Starfighter diorama its similar with ships that do not look GH style with a GH style Starfighter …. maybe just maybe we will be getting a Tie Interceptor!
Endor and Slave I sets are hitting hard here in the Phoenix, AZ area. I’ve noticed that the Slave I set in particular is (as expected) flying off the shelves, with the shopping season in full gear, make sure that you grab it at first sight!
I will be sending out a question to Hasbro regarding the Purchase of the Droids and the Kamino Showdown sets that were presented in Toy Fair (February) as TRU exclusives and are nowhere to be found! (They should’ve started hitting shelves in August). A bad sign was when in ComicCon these sets were not shown, so they may have been cancelled (very bad) or postponed (hopefully) for 2010.
Still no Slave I’s in Virginia. Gettin’ tired of the constant trips to TRU, Target, etc. …
Peace and Ditto, no luck on finding the Slave I in the Charlotte, NC area either. Target looks like the best shot, Walmart barely ever has any new SW Galactic Heroes and has no sets.
No signs of Slave I or Endor yet in Minny…wearing out a path to local Targets and TRU as well — very frustrating

Off topic but have to say it … went to Star Wars In Concert last night and it was AWESOME! everything from Boba Fett taking photos with kids to Chewbacca … Anthony Daniels was brilliant … so talented!! Its a must see event.

Q1: It has been many moons since we heard that the Galactic Heroes AT-AT Imperial Walker was put on hold for a possible 2010 release. Has there been any progress made as to when and where this ultra-cool (and fun) set will be released and has there been a preliminary pricepoint established? It has also been revealed that there is a GH Clone Wars Y-wing coming – are there any Separatist companion vehicles like a Vulture Droid or AAT Tank in the pipeline? And finally, Anakin’s Twilight Spice Frieghter continues to see heavy rotation in the animated Clone Wars series, will it too be realized in GH form for us soon?
A1: Thanks for the Galactic Heroes questions. We don’t get many of them but the little guys on our desk jump up and down in excitement when we do. Good news on the AT-AT – it is back into the lineup for Fall 2011. While we don’t have any of the others you mentioned in the works, we’d like to get to an AAT someday – it would be a great addition. The Twilight just remains too big to tackle, and it’s very doubtful that we’ll get to it. You never know, though….it would make for a cute vehicle when done in GH-style.
I too am wearing out the paths to local targets and the toys r us in the kc area looking for new sets. I finally caught slave 1 and endor attack at hasbrotoyshop in stock and the sw2010 still got the 10% off.
ASB checkout the newest customs … i made aurra sing and also some leia and padme versions that should be up this weekend …. might have to hold back on my endor leia now that the at at is pushed back … here’s hoping it was a typo and we will see it in 2010 … if not then at least we will get other new vehicles before it … silver lining!
Jedi DS, where? I can’t find anything over al Rebelscum. Is anybody noticing how the new ships are being made a bit smaller? Take the Slave I and the Y-Wing bomber coming in 2010, mainly the Y-wing I think it should’ve been bigger. Hasbro keeps shaving stuff off the cinema scenes, before it was just figures, now they are taking it on the ships! what’s next? a cinema scene with 3 or 4 figures for $25? and singles for $5.99?

Rebelsum.com just posted new cinema scenes for 2010: Slave, Jango with removable helmet and Obi-Wan (Kamino Escape cinema scene). Anakin Starfighter (Revenge of the Sith style), Anakin, Magnaguard and Grievous with blaster and lightsaber. Cool sets, they were no brainers as they are just re-paints of what we had this year (Boba’s Slave I and Obi-Wan’s Episode III Starfighter)
Anyone know where I can find the 2-pack Galatic Heroes set that includes Ki-Adi-Mundi? I have been looking for MONTHS with absolutely no luck. (Oklahoma)

Ki-Adi, with some luck you should be able to find it on Wal-Mart pegs (he’s on the blue cards) so to make it easy just look for them and skip the red card ones. The reason you are not finding this guy is that it was released last year. Whatever you do DON’T buy it off the internet, you’ll get ripped, they may re-release it soon as Ki-Adi just recently is seeing some face time on the Clone Wars cartoon.

Finally found Boba Fett’s Slave 1 today in the SuperTarget in Concord, NC. Had to buy it even though my 5 year old son was with and I would have given it as a gift, but these sets can be hard to find. I must compliment them on making better Cinema Scenes, this one looks just like the Cloud City Platform and folds out. I have been looking for this for 3 months now. I found the new General Grievous the other day, only 1 I have ever found (stocking stuffer). And good luck on finding Ki-Adi Mundi, I have one but have only seen 1 a couple of times. Still ticked about the AT-AT, want it bad, thanks Hasbro for the teaser and then “it will be out in Fall 2011″, thanks!
We are dying here in Minnesota…still awaiting arrival of Slave I — and Santa has made some promises so he better deliver. Any idea how distribution is set up? Can’t understand why some states have it and other don’t?
Also, has anyone found it at TRUs or only at Target?

That is where they have their head quarters right? I have only seen this one in Targets so that will be your best bet. It’s been close to a year that I have not seen a cinema scene in a Wal Mart. The sets that I have seen in TRU are typicallt their exclusives (Medal ceremony and Jabba’s Sailbarge)
