I really have loved the Clone Wars series on TV and have REALLY enjoyed the art and approach - VERY VERY cool.

That's basically how I found this article was doing searches for the art style of clone wars.

If I can ask, were there any filters used to help achieve the look on the textures or was that actually done by hand with brushes in PS? I've been messing with it here and trying to come up with something and I've come up with things that were close, but not really as completely random or convincing as what you see in the series art.

SO glad you guys put it on iTunes - that's how I get my TV these days to be honest ;)

GREAT work, keep it up!

Great article. I love the early Y-wing design they came up with for The Clone Wars. Very reminiscent of the old Y-wing concept designs for ANH. Before late '70's special effects limitations got in the way and they had to change it. :P

As long is it's a completely different model than the A4 models seen prominently in Episodes IV-VI, it won't be a problem. Otherwise, they've just created some continuity errors. lol It's also bizarre Chong states "We back-engineered the Y-wing and turned it back into a bomber." The problem with that statement is the Y-wing was never given a combat designation of 'bomber', but rather 'attack starfighter'. Although, It's frequently been erroneously referred to as a bomber in fan and EU sources. Bombing runs were only one of it's many combat roles.

I saw The Clone Wars twice already and loved it. I can't wait for the TV series to start on Oct. 3rd. Initially, I really didn't like the art style they gave the characters, but after seeing the film, it's really grown on me. I just wish the had all the original actors providing their voices. Oh well.
