  3. Insanoma says:

I was disappointed that it wasn’t in the widescreen format. You couldn’t see half the action! I’m still looking for those “extras” they promised too.

  4. David says:

Its awsome im a big fan and i was watching for those extras and they have been there its sick

  5. darth Rob says:

It’s so cool that they did this, it’s just to bad I had to work.

  6. Darth Mall says:

Why did he kill Darth Maul and Boba fett? two of the most followed and liked characters and he kills both …sucks , how sweet it would have been if Anakin killed Maul in clone or sith.

  7. Toph says:

I watched. :) And LOTR:FOTR was on at the same time on TNT, so I watched that during the commericals, which I think meant I missed some of the little extras… :(

I like the “ultimate trailer” on that site, although Cinemax’s “Fix You” trailer still takes the cake. You guys should try to get that on the SW.com video player if possible.

  8. Markus Creech says:

I have HD tv but this is definetley not showing up as HD. Is anyone having the same problem?

  9. Markus Creech says:

btw, my other hd channels look awesome, but the HD spike channel looks like crap.

  10. Nick says:

This is an awesome event. Spike is definitely in HD. Go Sith!

  11. Toph says:

I don’t even get Spike HD, so I’m stuck with the SD pan-and-scan version, but I’ve seen SW clips in HD thanks to the History HD “Legacy Revealed” documentary, and it looks fantastic. Oh well. I suppose I’ll have to wait for a Blu-Ray or HD download version…

Will the Clone Wars series be broadcast in HD on TNT HD I wonder? Oh, and I’ll make a prediction: The Clone Wars (film) will be the first SW film on Blu-Ray, followed a little later by a saga box set, similar to their DVD release schedule. :)

Anyway, I ultimately didn’t even watch tonight, opting instead for the (widescreen) DVD… was there any good Force Unleashed stuff???

  12. nickalos says:

    hd is so overrated.

  13. David says:

big night tonight lol we all no whats going to happen its just awsome how its a never seen on cable broadcast uh Anakin why u got to go to the darkside and change to Darth Vadar .

  14. clowkun says:

For next weekend, thats when they have scheduled extras for The Force Unleashed, so be ready for that and of course for today’s television premiere of Revenge of the Sith!

  15. michael knapple says:

yeah i might get crucified for this comment but here goes
i have loved starwars since i was a kid
the new ‘prequel’ movies got my wife into it…
well we both think that a remake of the old movies would be awesome
i do belive that in doing such it could alienate some die hard fans
but truly…not many people could love star wars more than i do…and i think there is some awesome talent to draw from hollywood today not to mention the new graphic tech….anyway…its just a thought..would love to see it happen
was just wondering if such a plan was being considered

  16. Insanoma says:

I think it’s way too soon to even consider anything like that. Who could imagine anyone besides Harrison Ford as Han Solo? Before the prequels came out, I wondered how they were going to pull off “recasting” Obi-Wan, but Ewan McGregor IS young Obi-Wan. Besides that, I can’t imagine any recasts. The “old” movies are still so “in the moment”. Even the special editions get people riled up, lol. Any actors or actresses would risk a lot by trying to “replace” or “recreate” those iconic characters. Now, I would love to see something new, I’m still waiting for the TV series, etc.

  17. michael knapple says:

    oik ok
long shot and i understand all that…..just wanting more and more..
maybe new movies of the different era’s…a legacy of the force movie.
    yuzon vohng war….chiss war.. or……
    a new game
i am totally fiegning for ‘the force unleashed’
but what i think would make an awesome vid game
    is a full rpg
maybe set back in the old republic or during the clone wars
i know they try to make everything sequenceable
but what im talking about is a character select like galaxies has
with a fantasy style rpg story line…fully functionable and mobile
playing areas with unlimited foes..but with a distinct story line arc to finish
the game…picking a young jedi or sith in maybe a fable style ‘GOOD or BAD’ play through but being able to fully upgrade or design weapons and armor/clothes …being able to fully choose, find, or learn skills and force powers..mini quests for special equipment and powers but all being free range so you can pick or choose….i love the ‘Knights of the old republic’
games….but more rpg than that…its to linear without the kind of freedom im talking about. it would just be so kewl to design a char with telekinisis of yoda, lightning of the emperor, saber skills of anakin, hilt of a saber of dooku, silver blade like corran horn. hand to hand skills of obi wan, you know all the stuff we love…. the story could just be lined out to save a planet or something. removing an evil tyrant….possibly coming into contact and doing quests for story based characters….even lesser known ones….bit bart jedi and sith characters maybe.
story could even possibly be set in the new republic era as a force sensitive either not able to get into lukes new jedi order, or not allowed for some mysterious reason…could be the plot of the game even..
an unknown hereo that saves the galaxies, giving his life but nobody knows it….kind of like ’shadows of the colossus’
anyway…just an idea..would love to be involved in the process
but i wish somebody would put that together.

  18. Nona Graham says:

I sat through two weekends of Star Wars. And now I think they are going to run one movie every Sunday.
I first saw Star Wars (Part 4) when I was 15. I was a Star Wars nut which would have been okay but I was also female and crazy about Darth Vader which in my school just made me weird. I adored The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. I hated the Ewoks (and still do). I owned every toy and slept on Star Wars sheets. I bought the films on VHS and they cost around $60 each.
When the new movies came out I did not go to see them. I had no money, my back hurt and I couldn’t sit in the movie theater seats, and I though I was too old. I couldn’t avoid hearing about them. Eventually, they showed up on TV. Now obviously tv can’t compare to sitting in a theater with state of the art sound and a huge screen. On the other hand, there was Jar Jar. Modelled on the stereo-typical black slave in the South??? Every time it opened it’s mouth I winced. And Anakin — I hated that kid (even more than I hated the Ewoks) – the pod race is way too long and he makes stupid faces and idiotic remarks and how old is he – 9 or 10 but he can fly better than anyone else? I liked Darth Maul – he should have been kept around for more movies. And the title – Phantom Menace????
On to part 2. Thank goodness Anakin has grown up. He still has a fixation on the lone female (who isn’t as good as Carrie Fisher). I like the introduction of Boba Fett as a child seeing his bounty hunter father getting killed.
Part 3. Here we are in some wildly advanced civilization and guess what, still the woman manages to get pregnant and surprise her guy. He didn’t look too pleased. Then she manages to live with Anakin but no one knows about their marriage. After Anakin turns evil she “gives up the will to live” (has anyone ever heard of such crap – some good mother she is. Doesn’t tell anyone she is having twins and doesn’t want to live with evil Anakin but none the less she dies and leaves her kids to fend for themselves. Hmmm). Obi Wan says Anakin was like a son to him but he still chops Anakin’s legs and arm. Watches him fall into the lava and burn and lay there in agony but nevery once thinks of putting him out of his misery – oh yeah, sorry but you have to live on to become Darth Vader and live in an iron lung suit.
Some things are annoying when you watch these all one after the other. Yoda is really Muppet-like and stupid acting and giggly. No one seems to remember they met R2D2 and C3PO previously, Leia remembers her mother (whom she NEVER met), Darth Vader doesn’t catch on that Luke is his son (even though he knows his last name is Skywalker) until the emperor lets him in on this little secret, Darth doesn’t ask why he was told his wife was dead and had no kids, and even though Darth can sense when Luke is around he remains senseless to his daughter Leia.
There are extra scenes, you have to look for them. Jabba the Hut has much longer scenes than he originally did and at the end of the whole thing when Luke sees the dead Jedi(es) Yoda and Obi Wan you now see Anakin as played by Hayden Christensen also standing there. There is obviously more stuff but you would have to compare the old versions to the new to catch them all.
Anyway, the whole thing made me want to find my old toys and hang them up from tacks on the ceiling. I had a Darth Vader watch – don’t know where that got to but I just bought a new one on eBay. You know, none of this would have happened if only she hadn’t gotten herself pregnant – pity birth control wasn’t as advanced as the space ships.
    Crap I feel old.

  19. Alex says:

Haha Nona Graham, I agree with you %100.

Yet despite its flaws, I still love the movies. Except Episode 1, I dont think I have ever watched that movie completely from beginning to end.

  20. Sarah says:

i dunno if anyone else noticed this but in the TV presenteation of RotJ, they replaced the older man who played Aniken w/ the youger guy who playied him Eps II & III

  21. l00ie says:

It’s not the first time Lucas has switched actors in a scene when a film is reissued. In the original SW:ESB film, the holographic emperor was Clive Revill. In all the subsequent issues of ESB, he has been edited out and replaced by the actor who played the Emperor in ROTJ and Ep I-III

  22. Jay says:

Yeah, nobody can be Han like Ford can! With this new Clone Wars movie, maybe they should have a series set between IV and VI. It would be in the exact same animation style, but be about events during the OT. And it should have Mark, Carrie, and Harrison voicing their respective characters! And of course, Mr. Earl Jones gotta do Vader’s voice!
