Earlier this week, I was contacted by NPR to help clarify a Star Wars error made in one of their shows. Apparently, a meteorologist, in describing dry conditions, likened them to the desert planet of Alderaan. Rather than just run a correction, they wanted a sort of Star Wars authority to clarify this, and discuss why it matters.
