According to The Sun tabloid, Brit singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor has funny looking knees. As if! What we care more about is her choice of costume at a recent DJ gig.
The singer was recently seen at London’s Koko club, where she and her husband Richard Jones — bassist for The Feeling — did a DJ set for the venue’s Guilty Pleasures night. The pair showed off their Star Wars fan cred by dressing as Han Solo and Princess Leia! Though Richard does look more like a Jedi than a space pirate…
And for the record, we think Sophie’s knees look just fine.

But, it could be an undeveloped, underexpressed side of Captain Solo that is surfacing for this role.
He may have many incarnations over the next 1000 years. Though I will probably always prefer the Harrison Ford Han Solo (I am a classicist and a purist like that), I always make way for the new, the fresh, the emotive, the original, even if I cannot always recognize it.
Also, in a GRE sort of way, if they do not eliminate analogies altogether, this actor, Richard Jones, is sort of to Ford as Prowse/Jones is to Christensen.

Definitely Luke and Leia costumes, not Han and Leia.
However, to answer the question of whether or not Han ever wielded a lightsaber… watch Episode V. Han uses Luke’s lightsaber to slice open the tauntaun. I can’t believe you forgot. Lucas shows the guts and everything.

Yea, to agree with Patrick, he’s right, on Hoth to save Luke from the frightening cold Han had to use the lightsaber to split open the already dead Tauntaun and then shove Luke in their while Han setup the camp.
