I want the droideka, and the one with the AT-RT looks awesome. Also, my little sister thinks that General Grievous is cool and wants one, plus his bodyguard. Dad is pretty freaked out by the Rancor, which looks like it is ready to eat everything.

They already release Jabba’s Palace a while ago that I believe was exclusively for Target. Try eBay or amazon.com, but it’s a pretty penny!!!

I have been waiting for these waves for two years now. I have been mildly impressed with a few packs lately, but mostly astonished that they have opted for OT nobodies instead of a wealth of awesome jedi like saesee tiin, agen kolar, aayla secura, plo koon, SHAAK MF TI!, ki adi mundi, etc…
I can’t wait to search for and purchase the 2008 galactic heroes! My son (2) is just starting to get into star wars ( a little). He is starting to learn the characters by watching clone wars and finding the galactic hero (we pretty much have ‘em all)

I can get some from Forbidden Planet (http://www.forbiddenplanet.com/fp) and I’ve found going into their shops is better than mail order. Also there are some sites in the US which ship to the UK and this is much cheaper than buying on ebay especially if you are buying a lot. Can’t wait to get these new ones…

Those sets should stores around my area soon, hopefully, sooner than expected! But the Magna Guard was just a fantasy in my mind, along with the Destroyer Droid. I hope that these sets are real…

How do you find out when these will be released? I have googled every phrase I can think of and can’t find it. My five-year-old son has fallen asleep every night for a week talking about that AT-RT and the droideka figure.

I have not seen the AT-RT,TIE, Rancor or Jedi Strfighter out yet, any news? I got tarfull and Gree yesterday at a Target. It seems that they released them in very small lots.

I have seen several of these for sale on e-bay including the Leia/R2-D2 set, tie fighter, Jedi Starfighter & Escape from Mos Eisley.. they are all from the same seller in Hong Kong. So I am assuming they have been released in China.. hope they are in the US soon.

My guess is that the majority of them will be released on 7/26 with the clone wars figure line. In the meantime I visit TRUS, KBToys, Target, and Walmart almost on a daily basis

We went to a local Wal-Mart on 07/07, my son’s birthday. They had all of the two packs on the shelf. We snatched them up and headed for the checkout. When the teller rang the first up, “Sell not permitted” came up on the register. They had put them out on the shelves early. My four uear old was devastated. The best they could tell me there was that they would be available either 07/18 or 07/25.

The same thing happened to me last night (7/10) at Walmart. We saw all the 2-packs on the pegs and grabbed a set. At the checkout, we were told the items could not be sold. I couldn’t believe it! The excuse we were given was that they were subject to a recall. But I agree with Darth Daddy; they were probably just set out too soon by a stock person.

Just like Darth Daddy, I too went to Walmart on July 10 my five year old twins were so excited to find new General Grievious and others to add to their collection. Then we get to the register and and were told items were recalled. I had two very upset children. They had now good excuse why they wouldn’t sell them.

add another to the list of those frustrated with Walmart. Me and my son just had to leave SHAAK TI!! at the store (7/13) because of a “recall”. I agree with the rest of you that someone put them on the shelves to early. I surfing the net for any news of a recall, but we all know that Lucasfilm and Hasbro are usually very careful with this stuff.
I asked the cashier, Customer Service, AND the “line manager” and all said basically, “uh..the computer says ‘do not sale’ and that usually means its a recall” I told them they better head back to the toy department because there were a whole lot on the shelf. Lucky for me, my son was very “BIG” about it. I think he may have just earned himself and extra one next time out!!!

I had the same experience 7/12, except the cashier overrode and I was able to get Shaak ti, Princess Leai, Plo Koon in doubles and a single Jar-Jar pack. I had gotten the Saesee Tiin pack at Toy R Us the day before as a random single pack. My brother in law went back the next day and was soundly rejected at the cashier.
My problem is I have not seen the Aayla Secura or Ki-Adi Mundi.
Did the Jabba’s Palace set ever really go to market. I see it on EBay but never saw it anywhere else.

I went to walmart 7/13 and had to leave my two packs at the register too! My boys were soooo upset. That is really WRONG! If they put them out eaarly their fault not ours!!

Does anyone know, have the new Galactic Heroes been recalled? I just got s few and after reading this, I am concerned about a recall. After Fisher Price and the lead paint fiasco of last year, I am leary of all toys. Just want to make sure that they are okay to play with. If anyone knows, please respond. Thanks

CM, the new lines are misunderstood as being recalled by the cashiers.
The managers read the codes and said the not-for sale code is meant to be for do not sell before date.
I have not hear of an official Galactic Heroes recall yet but if someone finds out it would be good to know.

Jabba’s Palace was released back in the winter. It was a Target Exclusive.

Jabba’s Palace was released during the winter around/right after Christmas. It was a Target Exclusive and they didn’t last in the stores too long. At least around here they didn’t

They are re-releasing Jabba’s palace and Assault on the Death Star according to Hasbro’s website on July 26th. It will no longer be a Target exclusive.
Meijer had all the new figure packs out today including all the repacked one’s except for Princess Leia and R2-D2. My son loves them!!! I was more excited than him! They also had many other new Clone Wars toys out, but we are Galactic Hero nuts!

My sister-in-law and I scoured the Targets for Jabba’s Palace; ours may not have gotten them.
I’m wondering if the tweener 2008s (Aayla Secura, Ki-Adi Mundi, Saesee Tiin) sets are just gone for good adn we did not get them around here. They are not Clone Wars packaging, so my kids may be out of luck, short of being ripped by ebay.
Should be interesting.

Went to Toys R Us yesterday and they had all the new Galactic Heroes . I picked up 2 Jabba’s and 2 Death Star repacks. When the cashier rang me up, she said she couldn’t sell it to me until the 23rd. At least they’re holding them for me.

I picked up the Jabba set at Target last week for 19.99. Earlier today, I saw the Jabba set and the X-Wing set at Walmart.
Target had a few pieces out earlier today, too. The Clonetrooper helmet, the Rex figures and a few Gal. Heroes packs. Didn’t buy any, though.
I’m saving for Vader’s TIE Fighter. I’ve scoured stores ever since I found out it was coming. I desperately hope it comes out tonight (7/26).

Just left Walmart with a crying four year old. They are calling it a “recall” with no other explanation. I am however excited to hear that the magic date is the 26th? Can’t wait. Item on hold. Does anyone know if the Death Star is going to be an exclusive or will it be readily sold at all locations?

Went out first thing with my 4 year old son to Walmart, Target, and Toys R Us in Huntington Beach CA. We were first or second in line at each as they opened at 7, 8, and 9AM respectively. There was NOTHING. Literally nothing. What a crock.

Yep the good Galactic Heroe stuff doesn’t come out until August 9th, with more coming out 9/15 and 10/15. I wish it wasn’t staggered out so much, but it will get me in the store more frequently.

Found and bought Escape from Mos Eisley, Jedi starfighter ( that is the name for the Clone wars Delta fighter), and Geonois Arena battle #2 for $16.99 apiece at a Target in Plano, Texas.

I found Obi Wan’s Jedi Starfighter (bought) and the Dewback/Mos Eisley at Targer (didn’t buy more into vehicles). I have yet to see the Tie Fighter yet. What is with the Droid that is shown on the Obi Wan Jedi Starfighter pack, it isn’t actually in there? Or at least I don’t see it, and it clearly shows it on the package. (It does come with the Millenium Falcoln I got at WalMart.)

I see the Snowspeeder and I like it. Looks like Dak, Probot and a Luke comes with (maybe a launching harpoon gun, too).
I’m more confused about the “Assault on the Death Star 2″ set. It appears to come with an X-Wing, and X-wing pilot (Porkins?), Gen. Dodonna and a red R5 unit.
Why not a Y-wing? It’d be cool to have Dodonna and a non-R2D2 droid, but I don’t necessarily want another X-Wing. A Y-Wing would be awesome.

I should have pointed out that I know these things are subject to change. One needs only to compare the photo in that presentation of the “Mos Eisley” set with the one I saw in stores last week to confirm this. The photo shows 3 Sandtroopers and Garindan. The set I found in Target this week had 2 Sandtroopers and no Garindan.

Agree ety3, Y-Wing will be better. I believe it is probably Wedge, I don’t know what is Hasbro’s deal with dropping figures from the sets, even the package on obi-wan’s delta starfighter I got last week indicates that includes a battle droid but it i nowhere to be found inside, just Obi, R4, a proton bomb?! and the ship. I think that for $20 we should get more figures!

Agreed on needing more figures for $20+. I just dropped an Andy Jackson on the Darth Vader TIE Fighter set. That’s only the ship and Vader. Couldn’t they have thrown in a droid or a Death Star Trooper or something?
I’m pretty sure that’s not Wedge in the new X-Wing set. The helmet isn’t the same as the Wedge figure they released a while back. Plus, I think I can make out a reddish beard. That’s the only reason I suggested Porkins.

More figures for $20. I can answer this one for you, The Economy and Inflation. The new trend is to give you less product for the same money instead of increasing the price. This is true for almost everything you buy right now. Many toys right now are very cheaply made, more so than a year or two ago.

Bowneyed Susan: The speeder bike chase WAS a target exclusive back in march, it flew off the shelves in days. The Hasbro guide does not indicate that they will be repacking and selling as non-exclusive (as they did with the assault on the Death Star). You can get it on the web for $40, $45 or even $50+ now. Not a price I will pay, I would think they will bring it back in a couple of years since it was a hit. I mean that was a great value (3 Speeder bikes, 2 exclusive ewoks, 1 stormtrooper, 1 bike scout, Endor Luke, Endor Han, 1 rebel soldier)

It seems that TRUS just got Vader TIE and Delta Starfighter on the shelfs($24.99) since I saw them yesterday here in Phoenix. I went there to see if there was an early Rancor and AT-RT sighting
but not yet. Be on the lookout if you want to snatch these 2 since they will be TRUS exclusives and not a lot of production I would guess. TRUS still has (I was surprised) the Battle on Hoth set (which I got ~ 3 months ago), that set is also a great value, just by getting that Wampa and Tauntaun makes it valuable!!

I found the vader tie fighter and delta starfighter today at Toys R Us in Lancaster, CA an hour north of LA. Awhile ago I asked them when the truck arrived and they said Friday night. So, maybe ask them what day the delivery truck arrives adn get there the next morning!

It seems that TRUS got an early going on the stuff slated for on-shelf later this month. I just visited the one here in Phoenix and they just got the AT-RT, Rancor GH’s set and the 3 3/4″ Disturbance at Lars Homestead playset. I just got the GH’s set as the disturbance set was pricey. Both sets are great (packaged in smaller display boxes, for cost savings :-). Man that Rancor really IS MEAN!!. Good Luck.

I purchased and received the TIE Fighter and Jedi Starfighter from Hasbrotoyshop.com. The packaging on the Jedi Starfighter clearly shows a white battle droid that is NOT included. The battle droid is listed on the top of the box and a picture and words “battle droid” are on the back and the bottom! I called Hasbrotoyshop.com and was stonewalled. “It doesnt matter what’s on the box, just on the website”. Moved on to Hasbro.com. They tried the same thing until I ground them down. Then suddenly, Abracadabra! They gave in and sent me a battle droid to ease my pain.
Hope this is helpful information. BTW picked up Rancor at Toys r us. Very cool.

In a recent Q&A session with Hasbro, the question was asked about the missing battle droid, the answer was pretty lame and basically said that at the time of development the set was created with a battle droid and then decided to drop it for cost reasons but the boxes were already in production, so the first boxes that went out had the droid visible, then they just stuck a sticker to cover the droid on subsequent releases (using the same box), eventually new boxes will not show the droid. I question if the hassle of going through that with Hasbro.com is worth a freaking battle droid? There was a question there about releasing a GH’s AT-AT, the answer indicated that we will probably have it on the 2009 lineup. Wouldn’t that be awesome a cute chunky AT-AT that could be combined with the Snowspeeder!!

Has anyone been able to find out if TRU will have the AT-RT or the Rancor again? It’s looking like the answer is no. I am really annoyed with them for telling us the toys would be on shelf on 9/15 and then putting them out two weeks early. I went in around the 10th to check on them, and was told they were already gone. My son wanted those two sets more than anything, and now my only choice is the scalpers on eBay.

Jack’s mom, I find it hard to believe that TRUS will not have anymore of those sets, both Hasbro and TRUS know that as soon these things hit the shelves they are gone so it would not be wise for them to just have a few as they definitely won’t become peg/shelf warmers. My guess is that since they are exclusives it takes time to get new ones in, each store manager knows that if your shelves are emptying you need to pull the factory order trigger. Good luck, and I hope little Jack gets his rancor and at-rt, my son (and me :-)) are really enjoying them

I just ordered both the Rancor and the AT-RT from the TRUs web site and expect to have them in 10 days. I’ll post if something happens to the order but if anyone is looking for them, that’s where I would go if I were you.

I think if you check the hasbro Website you’ll find Vader’s tie-fighter and the Obi-wans fighter for $19.99 in stead of TRU $24.99. Gotta love the little heroes. IS the snow speeder going to be a TRU or Target exclusive ?

I’am in SoCal and there are plenty of Rancors and AT-RT’s at Toys R Us and also plenty of tie-fighters and the Obi-wan’s fighters at Target. I’am still confused about the why Saesee Tiin’s head is detachable? I noticed that one of his horns gets broken in the clone wars micro series but unless hasbro give’s me another head where the horn is broken I don’t get it. I don’t really want my kids to pretend there chopping someone’s head off. By the way this site has saved me a lot of gas money driving around town looking for new GH’s, thanks everybody.

I went to the one of the TRUS store here in Phoenix to see if the Pit of Carkoon set made it yet and found out that they’ve just received a new load of the AT-RT and Rancor Pit exclusive sets (I saw at least 3 sets of each including the top shelf). Like I posted before, sometimes this exclusive sets show up slowly so you should be on the lookout if you still want to snatch these 2. No signs of the Carkoon set yet.

Great call on the Hasbro.com site. I got there just in time to get one of the skiffs. All of the two pack figures were already sold out but the fall20 code worked, I only paid 18.65$ after tax and that included shipping!

I stumbled upon the rancor set at a recent visit to TRUS. I was there just two days earlier and it wasn’t there. I was about to order it from the website but found it first. We’re now on the hunt for the two new cinema scenes and the new four packs. That will complete our set giving us (my son and his dad) the entire collection!
Has anyone heard anything about the christmas sets that I’ve heard are coming?

The Jabba’s Skiff set made its way to the Wal-Mart’s here in Phoenix, $21.99 tag like I said before they raised the price from $19.99. I grabbed it yesterday and that Skiff is great, it even has that little platform where Luke stands before he is “executed”. I don’t know, I am a 3-3/4″ figure/vehicle collector but does anybody know why this GH’s line is sooooo addictive!! I mean you can’t just pass on any new set or two pack release! It’s great, BTW per a recent Hasbro Q&A’s, it seems that both a removable helmet Jango and and a Boba Fett are on the works, cool!!

The Jabba set hasn’t made it to the East Coast yet… checked TRU, Wal-Mart and Target last night. Although they did have the new Christmas three-packs at TRU for $7.99, which are about the funniest thing I’ve ever seen in the Star Wars universe! My five-year-old son was absolutely beside himself at the Anakin with a candy-cane lightsaber.

i found the new GH figures at Target today! rex & tano, anakin & staf, dooku & ventriss, and obi-wan & cody. take note — they were incorrectly ringing up $14.99 and they had to adjust them down to $6.99 at the register.

Oops, sorry, didn’t mean the Jabba set as in the one with Jabba, I meant Jabba’s skiff, the Pit of Carkoon set - the one with Boba Fett. That one finally turned up at Wal-Mart and was triumphantly grabbed by my son, who’d saved his allowance for two months to buy it. That was a happy day.

Say I had a problem too at a Target in Plano texas. The price for Anakin and Staf rang up as $14.99 and they refused to correct it. I even showed them others on shelf that were marked correctly. Spoke to night manager and he would not change the price. We returned it and son was very upset.
We ended up going to Walmart and scored a Jabba’s Skiff.
Had to buy the Anakin off ebay.

At first Target refused to change the price to $6.99 from $14.99, but the customer service mgr was very understanding and reallized their computer was wrong and manually changed them for me. That’s a bummer they weren’t able to change it for you at the Plano store.

Same thing happened at Target in Blaine, MN. The manager made it seems like he was giving me a deal at $6.99. Luckily he changed it otherwise I would have had a screaming 4 year old. They had all 4 new 2 packs. Even the woman behind me in line (who was very nice about waiting while they got things cleared up) said they wouldn’t be $14.99.

The millenium falcon is a Walmart exclusive. It can be difficult to find, and you may have to go to e-bay at this point in order to get it. Look around, and you may be able to find it. Take care!

I just found all the new two pack galactic heroes at my local Target in Memphis Tn. I was a just about at every Target in the Memphis area looking for something else Star Wars and found the figures in Collierville Tn Target. Luminara, Jar Jar Binks, Mace Windu, Purple clone trooper, dwarf spider droid, padme and super battle droid. I thought they were coming out in early 2009 so I was suprised to see them.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been on the blog but I’m patiently awaiting the snowspeeder and new X-wing. Last year i found an entire display of the large MF but just bought one for the $35. I hate myself now!!! Anyway, I’ve created some 3′ x 3′ playsets for the GH line. If any superfans want to see them, drop me an email at davismb@lancsd.org . I’ll forward the pics. I made a death star, Mos Eisley with cantina, and Hoth! Pretty cool and durable for kids!

I got the Millenium Falcon when it first came out in 2002, the Fisher Price series. I still have it, and I still love playing with it. It’s in good condition, it has a few smudges on it, but I refer to it as “battle scars,” cause that’s what they are, right?

There is heavy speculation about a TIE fighter coming out. AND if they did Slave 1, they could get 2 releases out, because they could set one out, then repaint the same mold (ESB and (AotC).

I know why Saesee Tinn’s head is detachable, and it is very cool of the Galactic Heroes creators to dive this deep into the Star Wars Universe. Saesee Tinn is a telepath and often the Chancellor would ask Tinn for his insight on matters that required telepathy. In the novelization of Revenge of the Sith, when the four masters go to arrest Palpatine, the Chancellor asks Tinn, “Tell me Master Tinn, what am I thinking now?” Then he leaps across the room and decapates Tinn. Lucas felt this was too graphic for the movie, and decided that a lightsaber blow to the chest would be a little less graphic. My hats off to Galactic Heroes for honoring Tinn’s true death.

I’m getting ready to make a multi GH playset. It will include Jabba’s Palace fot the upper level, the rancor pit for the the lower level, and the skiff with a homemade Saarlac as a side addition. I ahve no idea how I’m going to do it but I’d be happy to post pictures as I go along!

Jedi DS. Please send the custom pics! I am thinking of make some custom Battle packs for GH with the Order 66. If you haven’t noticed, the new packs are sort of set like that: Ki-Adi- Mundi and galactic marine, plo Kon adn JAP pilot, Ayala Secure and Comander Bly, wookie and Commander Gree (other 2-pack with Yoda and kashyyk biker scout an final Obi-wan with an orange trooper. Hmmmmmm… Order 66 playsets are begging to be made.

I just picked up some of the new 2 packs at hasbro.com. The small spider droid, purple clone and Mace Windu, New Jar Jar and Padme, Illuminara. And didn’t the Jedi Starfighter come out a couple months ago? My son got it for his bday in November. Am I missing some new details on the one shown?

Hello. I grabbed a Snow Speeder at a Walmart in Lewsville Texas. I am really lucky. The scanner came up no upc on file. I was smart and took another set to the register and the clerk scanned the other item and sold the Speeder to me. Yipppe for me.

I finally ran into the Snowspeeder and Assault II (passed on this one) at my local Walmart here in Phoenix,AZ. I was pleasently surprised when the snowspeeder set rang at $19.99! The shelf had a price tag of $22.97 or so, so glad I saved a few bucks, well not really since I used them to grab the Windu/purple clone 2-pk. Happy Hunting!

I got the snowspeeder at Toys R Us. They had a Porkins X-Wing, but I had to pass. (If it was a Gold Leader Y-Wing, I would’ve grabbed that before the snowspeeder.)
If they’ve postponed the AT-AT and I’ve only seen a few photos from the ‘09 Toy Fair for new GH figures, what else is coming this year?
