It’s not often Revenge of the Sith shares a list with such cinematic fare as Notting Hill, Jerry Maguire, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, Pretty Women and Sin City. What do they have in common? Entertainment Weekly has listed them as contenders for 15 Nominees for Worst Movie Dialogue Ever.

Why is an official source even promoting this? What makes you guys think people will have any respect for these movies if starwars.com and the blog keep emphasizing this sort of garbage?
Come on Me, it’s all in fun… would you rather sw.com get all pissy and start yanking these contests and pretending they don’t exist, or acknowledge the fact that nothing is perfect so let’s just have some fun?
On a side-note, I’m SHOCKED that the “human narrator” Hugh Quarshie (Capt. Panaka) didn’t get multiple mentions for almost EVERY line of dialogue he delivered… such a shame he didn’t come back to narrate his way through Episodes 2 and 3…
Sharpy ,
Are you serious ? Capt Panaka ? Whats your beef ? Is it because he is black ?
Compared to the lines Hayden and Portman spoke in Episode 1 and 2 when they shared a ” romantic ” scene together , Hugh Quarshie sounds like a AAA actor.
” I wish , I could just wish away my feelings !! ” – Anakin Episode 2
I don’t know about them, but I never looked toward Star Wars for Grade A dialogue, and I’m a bit tired of hearing about it. There was some good, witty jabber from Han and Leia in the original, but when it came to most of the dialogue in all six movies it’s pretty corny stuff and that’s why we love it.
