According to folks at 501st.com, “The 501st UK Garrison members Adrian Baseley (SL-7484), Leigh Lewis (TK-4128), and Tony Velda (TK-5994) will appear as Darth Vader and his stormtroopers in a sitcom-style advertisement for Woolworths stores.”
The advert features the jovial puppets and brand characters Wooly and Worth, as well as the Dark Lord of the Sith who sends one of the puppets on a quest to Woolworths for a toaster so he can properly make a traditional UK breakfast of beans and toast.
The commercial has been scheduled to appear on UK television in September, and as reported in UTalk Marketing, “the ad, which promotes the company’s new ‘Worthit!’ brand and has been created by Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH), breaks before Pearl & Dean screenings of the latest films including Oceans 13, Fantastic Four 2 and Shrek 3 in the UK.”
