The Empire Strikes Back Uncut: The Jedi Kids Are Alright

Kids Strike Back Star Wars

We love getting new scene submissions for The Empire Strikes Back Uncut, because we know every re-creation is going to bring together a whole different cast of props, costumes, effects, and characters. And boy do we get characters.

Some of our favorite performances are from the youngest Jedi who are filling big, adult-sized acting shoes. Or even Artoo-sized shoes. And many kids are even getting behind the camera or taking on other roles in the production process.

This youngest generation of Star Wars fans is alive, well, and having so much fun in these scenes:

Check out the ‘stache on this Lando, the vocal stylings of Chewie, and the sublime Leia performance in this heartwarming all-kids cast:

These Rebel kids made their own snowy Hoth to run through:

NOOOOOOO! An emotional performance by Darth and Luke, plus a level tool, in this scene by Jerry Harmon:

As John Hill-Daniel explains, this scene is a real inter-generational collaboration: artwork by a seven-year-old, soundtrack and animation by a 10-year-old, and postproduction by a 42-year-old:
