Star Wars Uncut: Kent Meloy

Casey Pugh | August 17, 2012

Star Wars has long been opined as a continuation of the Western, complete with saloon shootouts, lone/Solo rangers, and bounty hunters. Some have paid homage to this inspiration with cinematic comparisons or reimagined action figures.

For Star Wars Uncut, Kent Meloy & Tunguska Pictures bring us to a campfire scene, where Jedi training takes place under the open, Earth-bound sky. Instead of the Millennium Falcon, we find our protagonists in a Western(ish) scene that turns awesomely goofy with Luke’s swordsmanship, Han’s Civil War uniform, and Obi Wan spitting, hollering, and throwing apples.

Fingers crossed there’s some roasting-beans-with-lightsabers scenes that Kent Meloy has lying on the cutting room floor.
